Marlo Lyons has spent more than 20 years inspiring, motivating, and empowering people to excel in their careers and businesses. Marlo's own career transitions from TV news reporter for more than a decade, to entertainment lawyer, to HR business partner in both entertainment technology and the medical technology industries, to globally certified career, executive and team coach has provided her unmatched expertise on how to help people forge their unique career pathway forward. Marlo started her career in Medford, Oregon, as an associate producer of medical stories for the local ABC TV affiliate. From there she became a TV news reporter in five cities, culminating in a consumer investigative reporting role for the CBS affiliate in Oklahoma City. After attending Oklahoma City University Law School at night while reporting full time, she set her sights on Los Angeles and became an entertainment lawyer at NBCUniversal and then Viacom, leading production risk management and diligence for reality shows across multiple networks. After more than a decade, she transitioned again, obtaining her certifications in HR and coaching. Marlo's HR, career coaching, team coaching, and leadership expertise combined with her own personal career transitions has provided her deep insights which she shares as a regular contributor to Harvard Business Review, CNN, Newsweek and Business Insider and on her podcast (release Jan 2025), Work Unscripted.
