Maryka Biaggio is an award-winning novelist who specializes in historical fiction based on real people. She enjoys the challenge of starting with actual figures, dramatizing their lives, and recreating a sense of their emotional world. Doubleday published her debut novel, PARLOR GAMES, in 2013. EDEN WAITS (Sunbury Press, 2019), is based in the true story of a utopian community founded in the 1890s and was an Editors' Choice in Historical Novels Review (February 2020). Her third novel, THE POINT OF VANISHING (Sunbury Press, 2021), tells the story of child prodigy writer Barbara Follett. THE MODEL SPY (Sunbury Press 2022) is based on the true story of intrepid World War II spy Toto Koopman. She is an avid opera fan and enjoys gardening, art films, and, of course, great fiction. She lives in Portland, Oregon. Visit her website or sign up for her newsletter at marykabiaggio.com.
