He has been engaged in recovery since July 2010 and sober since May 2011. He is an experienced sponsor in AA and has also had some exposure to Co-Dependents Anonymous and Al-Anon. “Although I have an ongoing commitment to twelve-step recovery, the bulk of my experience and understanding has come from in-depth study and participation in a broad range of spiritual traditions and disciplines. This covers a number of the major religions as well as a good variety of other sources, both traditional and new age. I have read countless books, watched many hundreds of hours of video, taken on-line courses and attended numerous retreats, both in the UK and overseas. My travels have taken me to Israel, Palestine, India, Spain, Portugal and Italy. I have met and spoken with several spiritual ‘masters’ and talked with numerous people from a wide variety of spiritual and cultural backgrounds.”
