Michael Flamm is professor of modern US history at Ohio Wesleyan University, where he has received several teaching awards. He has also served as a Fulbright Scholar in Argentina and historical consultant to the National Endowment for the Humanities, the College Board, and the National Academy of Sciences. Professor Flamm is the author or co-author of five books, including "Law and Order" (2005) and, most recently, "In the Heat of the Summer: The New York Riots of 1964 and the War on Crime" (2016). An avid reader of historical fiction and mystery novels, he lives in Bexley, Ohio with his wife and two children.
