Michelle Corrao is a nationally known speaker sharing her story to promote awareness and the debilitating effects of sexual violence. She brings a powerful message that addresses the pain and experience she endured and how she learned to cope and survive. For eighteen years she served at a victim awareness and support program in central Indiana and now leads a program that provides women who are single, pregnant and homeless with safe housing and opportunities to improve life for themselves and their children. She is the recipient of the Special Courage Award, presented by the U.S. Attorney General (2010) and became the first-ever recipient of the Distinguished Hoosier Award presented by the Indiana Attorney General.
