In his 40+-year business career, Richard Huttner has headed divisions at large companies like American Express and Time Warner and served as CEO at smaller companies like Parenting Unlimited, Senior Golfer, and Weider Health and Fitness (UK). He also owned the Massachusetts franchise of Crestcom International, a worldwide leadership and management skills training company. Over 150 MA companies sent their middle and senior executives to his year-long seminar series. Richard Huttner taught entrepreneurship and organizational behavior at Northeastern’s University’s D’Amore-McKim School of Business. He received his BA cum laude from Yale University and his MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. "I wrote The Universal Management Principle Workbook for two reasons. One, I've never forgotten one of my direct reports telling me, 'You're the best boss I ever worked for; you ought to write a book about motivation,' and Two, when I was teaching Organizational Behavior at Northeastern, a colleague mentioned the need for a book that explains to managers proven motivational techniques from the research literature. The Universal Management Principle Workbook meets both requirements."
