That nickname became ‘Rockin’ when his natural gift for music led him to a long career as an award-winning vocalist and performer. Rick has lived one of the most interesting and unusual lives you’ll ever read about. His birth mother gave him up at birth and refused to ever meet him. He medicated lifelong feelings of rejection by over-achieving at everything he did. Ironically, Rick discovered as an adult that his birth mother, whom he has never met, was actually a gifted writer who wanted to be a journalist. Rick’s inherited writing ability became apparent when the reviews for his first book, a page-turning memoir about his incredible life, began coming in. Today, Rick Bell lives near Austin, Texas, where he works as a writer and full-time performer.
