Russell Kinchen was born in Chicago, Illinois, the youngest of twelve, most introverted of the bunch, He was reading newspapers before the age of five. When his siblings were too busy to teach him about the ways of the world, he taught himself a series of things including how to play different musical instruments, and how to draw. Throughout his life, he had various jobs from a bathroom attendant at a gym to a library page. Russell wrote lyrics and poems on notepads or anything that had space for him to write on to express his Imagination. Russell moved to Minnesota in 2001 worked as a janitor and became a State worker. In 2010 he decided to write a fictional story about a janitor. The novel is loosely based on his experience
