Sausha Douglas Lovell was born with the street in his veins. To survive, his education in hustling, crime and violence started out early. He became a ward of the state in and out of corrections, institutions and questionable social rehabilitation programs. He always escaped back to the streets. Dabbling in mind altering substances, heroin consumed him completely. Hollow eyed, addicted and destitute he became a panhandler begging on the corner of a Starbucks in San Francisco until fate made him concierge to Hell. Then, his demons caught up with him. Now, Sausha has dedicated his life to working with vulnerable populations experiencing homelessness in Salt Lake City. He still has the street in his veins and is forever a Gutter Punk. Sausha has been sober since September 1, 2012.
