Hello! My name is ShadowSoft. Well, it’s actually my pen name, but it implies a truth about my personality: I’m a soft shadow of myself and as an author I intend to have an unknown existence in this world. But even if I keep you in the dark regarding my real name, I can still tell you a little about myself. I have a more severe case of ADHD than most people inflicted by it. On the bright side of this peculiar affliction, however, is the fact that I’m always concentrating more on what is inside my head than what is hap-pening around me. This means that I’m always synchronized with my imagination. My imagination was very broad to begin with, but after con-suming copious amounts of Japanese literature and animation it expanded into an infinite matrix of possibilities. I have read and watched 600 light novels, manga and anime, and 90% of them are romance-themed stories where two destined protagonists end up together in a happy ending. I got addicted to these kinds of stories at fourteen years old and two year later I was reading or watching one to two series a week. I can’t count the number of all-nighters I pulled, but to ingrain in you the gravity my appetite to know what would happening next in a story, I can say this: I slept between 10 to 15 hours a week when I was absorbed in a series! Even so, it took between eight and ten years for me to read and watch all those series. When I was twenty-four years old I got an aggravated form of OCD that made my imagination run wild. It resulted in me secluding myself in my bedroom, too scared to venture into the outside world and afraid of the people I all around me. OCD is a severe mental illness that can manifest randomly. The only way to cure it is with a mix of three meth- 4 Shadow Soft ods: psychologists, psychiatrists, and medication for the rest of your life. In my case I had to spend the greater part of my savings to hire the best psychologist known to cure OCD. After two years of treatment (at the beginning of 2017) I managed to pick myself back up and stand soundly on my feet once more. But enough about this sad part of my life! I know some of you are fed up with me talking about my OCD, but I had to mention it because it played a significant role in the creation of the story you are about to read. Before I fell ill (at the age of twenty-two) I had begun writing stories, but I was never been able to finish a single story because of the vast amount of time I dedicated to my work. After recovering from my illness, I realized how short life is and grew much more serious about writing a full story. Even if I have the passion to write stories, however, my talent lies in think-ing up an original idea and sketching out a scenario with some crucial dialogue. When I noticed this, I came to realize that I am more of an au-thor than a writer, more of a storymaker than a storyteller. In other words, I arrange the skeleton of the story, its vital core, but I needed a writer skilled in word-craft to flesh it out––to put in the organs and cover it with the skin. I create the stories; I need a talented writer to bring them to life. So with the rest of my savings (and loading my credit card) I hired a staff composed several writers and several illustrators who helped me complete a story universe for you to read. I hope you enjoy reading the sto-ries I have created with the help of my writers and illustrators! I consider them all my close friends who helped make my dream come true. ShadowSoft,
