Shannon Lane is a self-published author living in southern California with her husband and two young sons. She writes contemporary fiction, focusing on stories centered around real-life struggles. As with most authors, Shannon grew up with a passion for reading and writing. It all started with a library card and a typewriter. Her mother frequently brought her to the local library, where she found herself immersed in various poems, stories, and informational books. Soon after, a typewriter she inherited from her Nana became her obsession as she wrote out her own stories and poems to share with family and friends. Over the years, Shannon became more involved in a variety of activities. She dabbled in photography, show choir, and art in high school, but nothing spoke to her more than the written word. While she still enjoys all of these hobbies, her main priority is writing and sharing her stories with the world. Marriage and giving birth delayed her career goals, even more so once her sons were both diagnosed with autism. She juggled online college, completing two degrees (BA in HR and BA in English) while writing her first two novels, and now does her best to provide fresh material for readers while working full-time as a special education teacher at a local elementary school. Shannon takes prides in her work and really connects with the characters she creates. You are bound to love them all as you journey through their worlds.
