About Stanley G. Buford the Songwriter: In his previous literary work, directed to those who take parenting seriously in the Urban Centers of America; President Barack Obama remarked: “Thank you for your interesting book on parenting.” Stanley G. Buford was born in Chicago, Illinois. Stanley studied at Illinois State University and holds master’s degrees from National-Louis University in Management/Human Resource Development and DePaul University in Curriculum Development. He has worked as a teacher in the Chicago Public Schools. Stanley has appeared as a guest on the nationally televised show, “Heartbeat of America,” in a frank discussion concerning challenges to climbing corporate and educational ladders. He owns and operates a state certified management consulting business, Terkat Consultants Inc. He has been quoted in news articles, while lecturing at schools such as Northwestern, DePaul and the University of Illinois, on a variety of contemporary issues including a discussion of a class he created called “The Historiography of Music.” Stanley has been writing and producing small music projects since his first song, A New Way Of Living” was recorded by Preview Records, while he was a senior in high school. He is a graduate of the R. D. Henton Academy of Music where he studied under the renowned Evangelist Shirley Green. Stanley’s most recent project, “Who Wants to be a Songwriter Anyway?” is a new release whose proceeds will benefit his mentoring program, From Boys To Men Network Foundation. In the song, A Flight of Faith; Stanley directs the listeners to the process of overcoming against all odds. “Who Wants to be a Songwriter Anyway?” opens with the family home relaxing five years after a vacation from Hell. This ordinary family is still recovering from a flight that was hijacked in a scenario where their father Randy, a family villain turned family hero by thwarting the hijacking (Flight 4-7-3). Lou dares Tiarra; an aspiring singer/songwriter, to write a song that captures the fear they experienced and submit it to a local DJ for a chance at winning a national songwriting contest and an effort to put the horrible incident behind them forever.
