William D. Prystauk is an award-winning novelist, screenwriter, filmmaker, and educator, as well as a published poet and academic. His first novel in the "Kink Noir" series, "Bloodletting", has been adapted from his feature film script of the same name, which won Second Place at the Screenwriters Showcase Screenplay Contest in 2006, and led in the mystery category. "Bloodletting" went on to win the Grand Jury Prize at the L.A. Neo Noir Novel, Film, & Script Festival in 2016. In 2020, the sequels "Punishment" and "Debauchery" tied for the Best Novel Award at L.A. Neo Noir Novel, Film, & Script Festival. As of December 2021, "Bondage" is his latest in the series and is also the first "whodunit" of the books. To create the "Kink Noir" series, Prystauk relied on his experiences with Kink and fetish groups in both New York and Philadelphia. Prystauk's goal for the series has been to develop a young private investigator that battles crime, exploitation, and misinformation about those communities. Currently, he is a medical copywriter. If you love horror, you can find his alter-evil, Billy Crash, co-hosting the bi-weekly podcast, “The Last Knock,” on Spotify and iTunes, among others.
