This is a favorite series that I’m listening to after having read them several times. The stories throughout are a great progression from book to book. Each winds up what happens specifically in that story arc while continuing the overall series arc and connecting to each other as well. The author does an excellent job with so many people and events in Merlin’s it moving forward at just the right pace, and with the perfect balance of heat, humor, feels, and magical mystery action.

The narrator is also excellent and I’m glad I gave listening a try. Definitely check these out-though if you’re new to the series you should look up the chronological reading order and follow it if you can!

This series is so good! I'm enjoying Sawyer and his mates thoroughly. There is sweetness and heat in spades. I really like that there are different mythical/supernatural beings and that we are introduced to a new guardian in this book. I'm excited to meet the other guardians and see their relationships grow.

This book was exciting, with attempts on Sawyer’s life and another Guardian found. I have read the books but hearing it is great!

Another 5 star addition to this series. In this book, we learn more about the mates. Have an adventure with the Griffin Clan and meet Ward, our newest Guardian. Can't wait for the next in the series to be on audiobook.

More world-building and another mate/Guardian makes an appearance.
This is such a good series! The group temporarily stay with Eduard's people (Griffins). While there, Sawyer meets the 5th mate/Guardian. This mate needs some TLC. I am really enjoying the mystery surrounding Sawyer and looking forward to. meeting the remaining 3 mates.

Michael Dean is of course great, as always. The characters are a lot more distinct now. He makes it an enjoyable experience. Highly recommend.

I am absolutely loving this series! All the paranormal activity is fascinating and intriguing. The characters that are being added are very delightful! The storyline will continue in the next book and I am so glad. Each audiobook in the series makes me want more answers to the questions that arise!

The story continues seamlessly, it’s good that the pool is done because the newest guardian is going to need it. People are being possessed? and trying to do terrible things which leads the gang going to the griffons and in this little piece of paradise sinister things are brewing…. On to the next book.

I was hoping for a bit more development on the fantasy world building and magic system in this sophmore effort in the series, but let's be real, that's not why any of us are picking these books up.

I’m greatly enjoying the relationships in this, ans though I really wished the new addition was handled differently, I quickly fell in love with Saeward.

It really is a balancing act in developing all of these relationships in equal measure, making sure you're giving everyone equal time and attention. But like Draco, Blake is taking good care of her characters.

I can't wait for Saeward to find his home with the Mates, and for the next guardians to join the party!

With workman coming on to the estate to build a pool, Sawyer and his men leave for Griffin Island. Here they soak in the sun and encounter even more danger. When Sawyer is kidnapped, the entire island is on the lookout, but treachery keeps him hidden. It is only when Sawyer’s newest guardian saves him that he reaches out for his guardians to come help. This story is full of action, heat, and the coming to terms on what needs to be done to keep Sawyer safe. Needing to recuperate, his mates work together to welcome a new member and return home to only encounter another guardian who rubs Sawyer the wrong way right from the beginning.

I loved that this one focused on trying to get to know one of the families. With the griffins being the money people it made sense that they went to them first. Seeing them try to navigate the politics of if all was fun.
