Unexpected
Revisado: 01-05-25
Did not expect much but surprisingly The Law of Second Chance is above my expectation. The story is quite slow but it did help with character building and understanding each of them more. The best part is the courtroom battle that’s entertaining without being too much drama or cliche. This one really feel realistic and while the twist isn’t so surprise it is quite a good one.

It’s quite entertaining if you don’t mind some plots that didn’t really make sense and some that were totally cliche.

A wow and very interesting story. At first I felt skeptical about Jamie’s attitude. Yes, he was handed a rough life from start and his life is really dramatic than a movie. But then I remembered my old colleges, they are both from Isle of Man and damn they are both just as stubborn, straight forward and crazy about motorcycle just like him!!! The more I delved into Jamie’s prison life and experiences the more I gotta laugh at their resemble personality and attitude. This is really an interesting read.

Revisado: 12-02-24
Another series to be continue! I love the idea of 2 new recruits join the underdogs to teach them to be a real police detective. One is a young DI with a traumatized past another is an old DS whom is wise, mature and from another era. The 3 underdogs are promising but inexperienced. Their chemistry are progressing through the story. The case itself is fine and went well. What I’m looking forward to is what’s next to training them. That should me fun!

3.6 stars
In terms of crime thriller Eyes of the Wicked is an ok read; decent story and plot. But what annoyed me constantly is the unnatural dialogue and reaction. Let’s see… you found a strange girl cover in blood in the middle of a deserted road at night. Would you just take her on without asking her name ? Or even what happens? It’s a small thing like this here and there that frustrated me about this book. Otherwise it would be more enjoyable.

So so
Revisado: 07-04-24
This is so predictable from the get go. I could not get past how easy Sarah fell in love with a total stranger within such a short period of time and made too many questionable choices both in her work and personal life that any experienced solicitor should know better. It is a good story and good writing just not sufficient execution.
