Historia
Once in a blue moon, a book comes along that changes the world. The Origin of Species. War and Peace. 1984. And now, Cunk on Everything: The Encyclopedia Philomena, by Philomena Cunk. Philomena Cunk is one of the greatest thinkers of the 21st century, and in Cunk on Everything she turns her attention to our biggest issue: why are there so many books? Wouldn't it be better if there was just one? This is that book—an encyclopedia of all human knowledge, delving into not only life's greatest mysteries but our most important political figures and cultural touchstones.

My schooling failed me and this book corrected all of my learning shortcomings. Cunk should be knighted for this literary masterpiece.

And every hired gun in Kansas is out to collect the bounty on her head, including bonafide witch hunter Old Tom and his mysterious, mute ward Rabbit. And as their posse grows, so too does the danger.

Historia
The Reaper is a legend, more myth than man: the savior of worlds, the leader of the Rising, the breaker of chains. But the Reaper is also Darrow, born of the red soil of Mars: a husband, a father, a friend. The worlds once needed the Reaper. But now they need Darrow. Because after the dark age will come a new age: of light, of victory, of hope.

Fooled yet again
Revisado: 02-01-24
I'll try to keep this as spoiler-free as possible but several times I found myself refalling in love with a character and then naively forgetting that, that character could/is going to die very soon. I get easily swept up by the way the characters change and develop them they're dead. Great book can't wait for the next one!

Historia
Miah Gray is a 27-year-old former army soldier living in rural New Hampshire with his sister, mother, and her boyfriend. He is plagued by PTSD, finding solace, but not redemption, with the aid of prescribed cannabis. All he wants to do is get high, relax with a good sandwich, and watch a meteor shower with his neighborhood crush, Jen. When the sun's light is blotted out the following morning and the world is plunged into darkness, Miah finds himself locked down with his family, covering windows with trash bags, lighting candles, and following the arcane rules of an ancient prophecy.

Revisado: 05-13-23
I loved this book very creepy don't recommend listening to it in the dark. Listened to the majority while walking my dog at night and felt like I was being haunted/hunted by the "Demons" in the book. Great performance as always 👏

There's a lot of twists and turns throughout. Halfway through I was convinced the simulation was running on the Infinite Earth just to keep people occupied as they died and starved in the after Earth.

New Hope For Christianity
Revisado: 12-28-20
If this book was the first experience people had with christianity or religion there would be a lot lot lot more religious people. Having being put off to many of the issues brought up and 'remedied' by the author I found myself enjoying the book a great deal more than I thought I would.
