Well written

Fine story. characters were well developed and in keeping with how young adults would address their struggles. AI narration was stilted, fair on diction, poor elocution.

Historia
When Evangeline is sent to live in a small mill town in Northern England as a schoolteacher in 1871, she finds herself struggling to fit in with an unfamiliar culture. Raised with the high-class Victorian values and ideals of a sophisticated upbringing, she is unprepared for the poverty she finds in the gritty factory town of Smeatley, where the locals speak with a hard-to-understand Yorkshire accent and struggle to thrive with few resources or opportunities. Though she has no training as a teacher, she must prove herself successful before her grandfather will release her inheritance.

Historia
In Being Mortal, best-selling author Atul Gawande tackles the hardest challenge of his profession: how medicine can not only improve life but also the process of its ending. Medicine has triumphed in modern times, transforming birth, injury, and infectious disease from harrowing to manageable. But in the inevitable condition of aging and death, the goals of medicine seem too frequently to run counter to the interest of the human spirit.

Historia
This book is in many ways a memoir, but it’s also an attempt to wake up the listener to the glory of God shining through his creation. One of the first commands to Adam and Eve was to “work and keep” the garden. Award-winning author and songwriter Andrew Peterson, being as honest as possible, shares a story of childhood, grief, redemption, and peace by walking through a forest of memories

Things aren't always what they seem
Revisado: 02-16-22
And God still works miracles. Miss Brenda has had some crazy schemes and this one may be the craziest of all but she's convinced this is what God wants her to do, what He has created her to do. With humor, honesty and some shocking insight into the lives of some of our country's lady inmates, Miss Brenda and her Loveladies tell us their story. An excellent read or listen well worth your time. Excellent narration. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
