Brilliant story and dialogues
Revisado: 11-19-23
This was the 4th Foundation book I read and I feel more and more passionate about Asimov’s works. This book is intellectually stimulating and highly engaging, even for a non-fiction reader. The movie does not even come close to the quality of the dialogues and their emotional impact. I highly recommend it.

The missing link in the E-Myth and Traction
Revisado: 11-19-21
David Jenyns wrote a very helpful book about systemizing your business. This was the missing piece that E-Myth and Traction did not explain, but is critical to building a buyable business.

Magnificent
Revisado: 10-06-21
I have been following Mike Duncan’s History of Rome and Revolution podcasts for years, but he managed to outdo his earlier great accomplishments with this book. Engaging storytelling — I could not stopped listening to it. Although Duncan is undeniably partial to Lafayette, this book is meticulously researched and is delivered with elegant humor and in an engaging style. A fascinating portrait of a remarkable man.

The book includes the original text of Beyond Entrepreneurship, as well as four new chapters and 15 new essays. BE 2.0 pulls together the key concepts across Collins' 30 years of research into one integrated framework called The Map.

Possibly Jim Collins greatest book
Revisado: 02-01-21
If you are the owner or CEO of a small to mid size private organization, this is a must read. This books dives into Vision, Strategy and Execution and connects the dots for you on why each is important and how each can be developed in a systematic manner to bring a successful company that can potentially endure for a hundred years.
This book was originally published in 1992 and has aged extremely well.

Historia
In the military, a field manual provides instructions in simple, clear, step-by-step language to help soldiers complete their mission. In the civilian sector, books offer information on everything from fixing a leaky faucet to developing an effective workout program to cooking a good steak. Leadership Strategy and Tactics explains how to take leadership theory, quickly translate that theory into applicable strategy, and then put leadership into action at a tactical level. This audiobook is the solution that leaders at every level need.

Excellent theoretical canvass with clear examples
Revisado: 01-31-21
As business strategy originated from military strategy, so has business leadership has arisen from its military brethren.
In this book, the author identifies and articulates a handful of leadership concepts which he then explains with clear examples that are easy to understand and internalize.
What I particularly enjoyed was that he focuses on the mental game of the leader and how to channel her ego and personal inclinations into putting the team first.
In contrast with other reviewers Willink’s personal examples did not bother me at all. On the contrary, they felt authentic and compelling. He is clearly passionate about the subject and I am reassured is likely a good leader himself.

Historia
First published in 1983, High Output Management by Andrew Grove is a management guide based on Grove's 15 years of managerial experience and knowledge as a cofounder, president, and chief executive of Intel. As Grove emphasizes in a new introduction to the book, globalization and the information revolution have dramatically changed the workforce, making people ever more replaceable and the market ever more competitive. Companies must adapt to these changes or face their own irrelevance and extinction.

Not a summary, but a collection of misunderstandings
Revisado: 01-01-19
This audio book was an irritating disappointment. The author grabs the subtitles of Andy Groove’s classic and interprets them using “contemporary examples”. A total misunderstanding of the work and an arrogant reinterpretation of fragments of it.
If you can’t make time to read the original, its better to not touch this audio book as it will dissuade you from picking up that classic text in the future.
