Historia
When Tiger Woods went on an extraordinary majors run between 1999 and 2008, one man stood at his side: his caddie Steve Williams. Together Steve and Tiger dominated the PGA Tour and won an astonishing 13 major championships, their sights set on breaking Jack Nicklaus’s record 18 majors. Before they could overtake Nicklaus, however, their partnership ended abruptly, and a 12-year period without talking began. Years later, the two reconnected. Together We Roared offers an inside look at what it is like to ride alongside greatness.

Really cool perspective.
Revisado: 04-08-25
At first I thought “the same old tiger stories”. But getting some new insights and a really great perspective of the history of their relationship was honestly very cool. Definitely a great book. My biggest critique is that I wish they’d gotten a narrator who was familiar with the golf world. His multiple mispronunciations throughout the book would take me out of the story sometimes. Maybe not a big deal to some, but for a golf sicko like myself it was a little annoying at times. Overall it was worth the listen.

Historia
Over two grim nights in Los Angeles, the young followers of Charles Manson murdered seven people, including the actress Sharon Tate, then eight months pregnant. With no mercy and seemingly no motive, the Manson Family followed their leader's every order. Twenty years ago, when journalist Tom O'Neill was reporting a magazine piece about the murders, he worried there was nothing new to say. Then he unearthed shocking evidence of a cover-up behind the "official" story, including police carelessness, legal misconduct, and potential surveillance by intelligence agents.

Very thought provoking

It took me a couple listens to really grasp all the small details but I’m in awe of the level and depth of investigating that Tom went through to finally publish this book. Absolutely incredible. The evidence he brings to light about the disparities in the official narrative of the trial in ‘69 were really interesting and pretty damning for those involved. Then by following a thread from the inception of the family in San Francisco he uncovers secrets about the CIA and the governments involvement in domestic experiments on its citizens. Mind blowing. I’d give it 100 stars if I could. Tom deserves all the recognition in the world for the work he put into this.

Historia
F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic American novel of the Roaring Twenties is beloved by generations of readers and stands as his crowning work. This new audio edition, authorized by the Fitzgerald estate, is narrated by Oscar-nominated actor Jake Gyllenhaal (Brokeback Mountain). Gyllenhaal's performance is a faithful delivery in the voice of Nick Carraway, the Midwesterner turned New York bond salesman, who rents a small house next door to the mysterious millionaire Jay Gatsby....

Undeniable classic

What a great book. Fitzgerald’s descriptive writing never ceases to pull you in to the setting. The way he describes the tense moments through the mind of the characters is enthralling. The narration in this audio book is fantastic as well.

Historia
Tom Segura is known for his twisted takes and irreverent comedic voice. But after a few years of crazy tours and churning out podcasts weekly, all while parenting two young children, he desperately needs a second to himself. It’s not that he hates his friends and family — he’s not a monster — he’s just beat, which is why his son’s (ruthless) first full sentence, “I’d like to play alone, please,” has since become his mantra.

Simply Awesome
Revisado: 08-25-22
For anyone who is a fan of Tom already this is just another fold of his story telling and comedic personality. If you’re not already a fan, then buckle up and get ready to become one! I’ve been a fan of Tom’s for a while and honestly have heard a lot of the stories from this book previously from his stand up or podcasts and I was still hooked from the first word.
