Awesome story, would not listen to it again due to the voice actor’s breathiness. She makes Isolde sound like she’s either crying or just ran up eight flights of stairs the whole time.

I love this entire series. Some people have said the narrator isn’t great but to be honest I personally love the voice he does for Valroy and the way he slurs a little for Anfar.
You’ll hate Valroy before this first book is over, but he does a bit of a turn around before the end - if not in the way you may expect. If you have a thing for predator/prey dynamics, this is the series for you. It ties off very nicely by the third book.

Amazing story. I took away some stars from performance because they made Halt sound like an angry leprechaun and that was kind of disappointing at first. But then I realized he essentially is an angry leprechaun and was able to listen to the whole thing.
