This book grabbed me immediately. The world creation, the story, the steam, all of it - chefs kiss. LOVED the female narrator. She's got a great voice. Thank God we don't hear the male narrator until the last part of the book. Completely wrong choice for the character. It's why I'm reading the second book and not listening to it. I'm trying to find another book to recreate the feeling this book gave me.

I swear if I ever hear the words “my people” again my ears will explode. It must have been said 1000 times. The voice for the main make character was awful. I finished it hoping it would get better but it didn’t. Don’t waste your time.

This was a nice fantasy listen, with sexy vamps. Not the biggest fan of the h 🤷‍♀️ Painfully stubborn and loves to wallow in denial. Yet, I still want the next book for the story ❤️❤️ I'm a sucker for intrigue and the h may change her tune 😏

Vampires, witches, and monsters. Good listen. I liked the female narrators voice. The bonus chapter at the end w/male narrator was bad. Does not fit w/the main character. DNF’d that part.

The story is hood and the voice of the female performer suits the main character very well! However the voice of the male performer is AWFUL ABD JUST WRONG. I don’t understand why he was picked to narrate. How in the world did y’all listen to his voice and thought that he was what the people wanted to hear. I recommend the book and I love the boldness of the main character and I actually love the writing for the male lead , but this is a prime example of a the wrong narrator can ruin everything

I want you. I hate you, I'm jealous, want me... and on and on. I got lost in this book and have no clue what was going on.The sex parts were just written badly, i.e., flesh parting??? wth. could have been interesting, but I dislike the lead female

Hate this kind of female main character

There were a few plot points that didn't seem plausible to me. I was hoping that would come together better at the end, but it worsened. I might continue the series, not sure. The word "F---" lost it's poignancy with so much use.
