Historia
When internet talk-show sensation, Slater Corrigan, finds himself on a collision course with The Aatrox Group, he realizes that the nation is in grave danger. Even though this isn’t the first time Slater has played chicken with psychopaths, he has never met a monster quite like Johan Schwein for a man this vile tends to keep to the shadows.

This is way too possible....
Revisado: 07-27-21
I really enjoyed listening to this new book and as always Kevin Pierce gave the characters extra depth. I can see the frustration in a car tie up, and how the bad guys go after some things when security was not maintained. And then how people were thinking and acting. A couple of rather neat twists thrown in. Very good book. I've already started on my second listen so I can pick up the finer details I may have missed. (And to enjoy knowing what is going to happen to the bad guys when they are being horrible.). Do read/listen to it. And I'm really looking forward to books 2 and 3 of this thriller experience.

Historia
This is how the world ends. Not with a bang, but with many nuclear bombs detonated around the planet. It was no longer a topic of conversation around the dinner table as in years past. Nobody was prepared, including the world's governments. Yet the threat was always real, and the devastation was predictable. The damage was incalcuable. Millions died at the points of impact. Nuclear Winter spread across the globe. A rapidly cooling climate shocked humanity and all living things...to their death.

Oh the edge of my seat
Revisado: 04-23-21
Again Bobby has brought the characters to life and has them in such predicaments. I really lik e seeing it in both the Colorado and Florida Keys and the traveling in between. It was fun for one location from another series was passed by one of the characters trying to get home. And I'm glad that section that showed the bad guy so much had a conclusion I could live with. But, darn if just when I was expecting the next seen to get started good Kevin stopped reading. Now I have to wait for the next book.
But this is a really good series and as always Kevin Pierce makes it sound great. Now to go re-listen to other Bobby Akart books until the next part of this series comes out. (Yes, I do re-read and re-listen to my favorites. Bobby Akart and Kevin Pierce fall within that category.)

Historia
I’ve been in this life for fifty years, been trying to work out its riddle for forty-two, and been keeping diaries of clues to that riddle for the last thirty-five. Notes about successes and failures, joys and sorrows, things that made me marvel, and things that made me laugh out loud. How to be fair. How to have less stress. How to have fun. How to hurt people less. How to get hurt less. How to be a good man. How to have meaning in life. How to be more me. Recently, I worked up the courage to sit down with those diaries.

Revisado: 03-07-21
I enjoyed this book immensely. I was interested in it from the preview and then find it became much more. I am glad to hear who he is, and how he became that man. I especially appreciate his value of family, that means a lot to me. And listening to it, oh WOW, So good to hear it with such delivery and passion. I'll be listening to this again and I've already recommended it to my friends via my Facebook page.

Live your own life!
Revisado: 02-14-21
I have just finished this Audible book. Wow! And it's more than an adventure story that would make a great movie. IMAX would be great. But the main part of the book that struck me deep was the main character's writing on the laptop. Amazing. And the reactions, Fantastic. I sure like the "live your own life" message hidden in the story. This will definitely be a book that I listen to often and visit like an old friend. Also, I am surprised at how well the author, John J. Nance does as the reader of his book. Amazing. I have recently found this author and have listened to 4 or 5 of the others before this one. But this one makes the most impact on me that I've "read" so far. Now to listen to the rest. I love how he develops the characters and the flying in the stories. Read this one if you can only choose one. Read the rest if you have the time and can get them.

So good to see Juan and the crew back in action!
Revisado: 11-11-20
This is a very good Oregon Files book with the crew and a couple of the newer ones. The story lives up to the past books and I like the new features mention on this new Oregon. I am hoping this is not the last one and another book can come along and use all these neat gadgets in a new book. The characters are the ones I like and the perils of getting the results they need make for a good story. Scott, as always, brings it all to life very well.

Revisado: 08-26-20
I really love listening to David’s adventures and his thinking of what to do next. The characters are really neat to ‘get to know’. And P.J.s narrative of it makes it all come to life so much more. I listen to my collection of these books many times. Like visiting with friends. Much better than tv or movies. Though these would make a good movie. Especially the drones.

I really enjoyed this book
Revisado: 07-07-20
I listened to this while I worked online and drove in the car, and back at home. It is a good story and I'm going to listen to more of them, probably the complete series.
I do have to say, I almost did not go past the beginning as it took me awhile to get use to a female voice for this book. I much prefer a male voice. But, I did listen and get use to her and she did read it well.
So, now on to the next book.

Historia
A mutating plague is spreading. It's killing two of every three people on Earth. And Mike Crenshaw is totally unprepared. From the world of The Traveler Series comes a new cast of characters, new obstacles, and the same devastating, world-altering virus which plunges society into the depth of a dystopian hell. Unprepared begins in the hours before The Scourge takes hold. As if ripped from today's headlines, governments react too slowly and the disease spreads too fast. Quarantines don't work. Infrastructure fails. People die.

I agree with Bryan's review
Revisado: 05-24-20
I have just finished this book and the review that Brian gave called " Ripped From The Headlines " Says what I was thinking but did not know how to word it. It is as if this book was written since March of this year. It's very close to what you hear if you turn on the news or listen to people on Social Medias.
And as always Kevin Pierce did an outstanding job of bringing it to life.

Written in 2013 but timely for today
Revisado: 05-24-20
I have recently discovered Mark Goodwin's books and am thoroughly enjoying them. In this book, it seems timely in 2020 and makes for good listening to. And is clean but SHTF based.
And I listen to Kevin Pierce hours at a time in these books and others also. He always makes the characters more real than just reading them to yourself. Also, a great way to get stuff done and still have a book being read.
I recommend both the book, the audible, the authors works and Kevin Pierce's performances of the book/s.

Charming and heart warming
Revisado: 10-04-19
I recently learned of Kate DiCamillo and some of her books. In this day and age of horrible TV and news, this is a most heart warming and charming story. I'd love to have a dog like Wynn Dixie. All the characters have such interesting parts to the story.
Cherry Jones is new to me also, and her voice is one of the first female voice that I've heard on Audible that I like. For some reason many don't suit me, but Cherry has just enough whimsy in her voice when appropriate to add another note of endearment and heart warming when I was listening to her.
I recommend this to anyone age 6 to 85 (or older).
