Loved Devil Days in Deadwood

I love all of Ann Charles’ books. This was no exception. It has paranormal, monsters, good guys, bad guys, romance, hilarious moments mixed with nail biting moments and quirky characters that have become family. It’s been days and still every time I think of Cornelius and the scarecrow I laugh out loud.

Caroline Shaffer does a great job narrating as always!

More than credit worthy. It’s a don’t miss.

I don’t understand the negative reviews!

I loved A Night Like This. It took me forever to read it because of the negative reviews. A few thought that this was not as good as many other Julia Quinn novels. I beg to differ. I laughed, I loved the characters, there was some sadness and suspense but not enough to dull the fun. I would have loved a wrap up with the heroine’s family tho. In fact I would have loved to spend more time with all of the characters, the kid’s, Daniel and his friends, and others.

A fun Romp

A Lady in Disguise is a fun romp. The story is fun and full of quirky characters. There is a romance , a bit of a mystery and action. Treat yourself.

My first but not my last!

My first book by Heather McCollum, but most definitely not my last. I always thought McCollum’s books would be too angsty for me. I was wrong and I’m so happy about it. Now I can read all of her books. She does not write fluff. Her stories are great. Tim Campbell is an outstanding narrator. You won’t go wrong with with The Beast of Aros Castle.

Again, more crying, more angst, more sex..

I love Lisa Kleypas but this book was angsty, a lot of sex, some crying and a story mixed together. I must say up front angsty isn’t my thing. If I want sad, I’ll watch the news. I like books that make me smile, laugh or at least fun. I just didn’t find this book fun.

Lord of Heartbreak

This is a cute easy listen story. I liked the strong characters and it wasn’t angsty. It probably wasn’t historically accurate but that doesn’t bother me. The narrator of the female voices Duchess Defoix made the female voices sound about 8 years old. Still, it wasn’t enough to make me stop listening. However, since I have the Audible Romance package I was able to listen for free.

Officially, my new favorite Christmas read.

I’m catching up on all things Ann Charles. I love her books and found her at the beginning of writing career. Lucky me! Don’t let it Snow in Deadwood was fun and family. It’s not to be missed. Caroline Shaffer was a fantastic narrator as always.

Gone Haunting was fantastic!!

I loved Gone Haunting. I’ve been reading Ann Charles since her first book. I was lucky I found her. I haven’t missed a book since. Deadwood is my favorite series, but I love all of her series, each one has mystery, humor and romance and in the case of the Deadwood series, it also has frightening monsters. Ann never misses!!

I love Rachel Gibson

I read this series of books years ago and loved them. They are chick lit at it’s finest. Sex, Lied and Online Dating is funny, romantic, and a little cheesy at times. I loved hearing it this time around and Kathleen Early is a great narrator! I’m moving on to the next book and fun memories.
