Historia
NOTE: Please ignore negative review attacks from the overseas. Rumi's Untold Story is written from 30-year research by award-winning Rumi translator, scholar and author Shah Ram Shiva. It provides a clear record of highlights of Rumi's life and clarifies certain aspects of his very colorful history which have been kept secret from public until now. It covers Rumi's unconventional relationship with his mentor Shams and Sham's controversial and doomed marriage to Rumi's daughter Kimia.

Some made up stories
Revisado: 03-03-25
I think the book is OK, but some stories are made up. And shouldn’t have been associated with Rumi or Shams

Historia
Most books about the history of humanity pursue either a historical or a biological approach, but Dr. Yuval Noah Harari breaks the mold with this highly original book. From examining the role evolving humans have played in the global ecosystem to charting the rise of empires, Sapiens integrates history and science to reconsider accepted narratives, connect past developments with contemporary concerns, and examine specific events within the context of larger ideas.

A mix of scientific knowledge and personal opinion
Revisado: 11-22-22
The book includes topics about various subjects. And the authors seems to be knowledgeable and have done some research. The reason I rate as 2 stars is that the author is very much biased and quoting out of context. For someone who does his own research and not just acknowledge what the writer present is easy to find out that the author has his own opinion and tries to make the readers to accept that as a truth. I don’t agree with the comments that first half and second half of the book is different. I think in all the chapters of this book the author directly and indirectly tries to convince us that how the religions are hoax and capitalism is the right path and mother of all inventions.

Historia
Considered by Rumi to be "the master" of Sufi mystic poetry, Attar is best known for this epic poem, a magnificent allegorical tale about the soul's search for meaning. He recounts the perilous journey of the world's birds to the faraway peaks of Mount Qaf in search of the mysterious Simorgh, their king. Attar's beguiling anecdotes and humor intermingle the sublime with the mundane, the spiritual with the worldly, while his poem models the soul's escape from the mind's rational embrace.

This book is a masterpiece! Amazing translation and narration. Attar in this book emphasizes that life in this world is temporary and it’s not worth gathering wealth and power. You won’t understand that real meaning of life unless you give up everything you have…

Historia
Born to survivalists in the mountains of Idaho, Tara Westover was seventeen the first time she set foot in a classroom. Her family was so isolated from mainstream society that there was no one to ensure the children received an education, and no one to intervene when one of Tara’s older brothers became violent. When another brother got himself into college, Tara decided to try a new kind of life. Her quest for knowledge transformed her, taking her over oceans and across continents, to Harvard and to Cambridge University.

Amazing story
Revisado: 05-19-22
An eye opening and amazing story. As a someone who moved to Alabama from a different country I realized that there are several families living in AL and might have similar prospective about life.
I found the story of Tara interesting and informative, but I feel she exaggerated some incidents.

Amazing book and narration. As a Afghan Persian I am proud of our history and ancestors. Ferdowsi is one the well known Persian poets and scholars who prepared this book to Sultan Mahmud Ghaznavi.

Interesting and Ok
Revisado: 02-02-22
I don’t know how I feel about this week. The story was engaging and performance was excellent. The story was about an bi-girl with a high ego and thirsty for fame. Who is more important than the US president. spoiler alert. How in the world the police and the fire fire fighters couldn’t open a door to an old warehouses and the ending didn’t make sense.

Historia
I’ve been in this life for fifty years, been trying to work out its riddle for forty-two, and been keeping diaries of clues to that riddle for the last thirty-five. Notes about successes and failures, joys and sorrows, things that made me marvel, and things that made me laugh out loud. How to be fair. How to have less stress. How to have fun. How to hurt people less. How to get hurt less. How to be a good man. How to have meaning in life. How to be more me. Recently, I worked up the courage to sit down with those diaries.
