Historia
He was a duke in disguise. Hiding the truth of his title and wealth to help a friend. Pretending to be nothing more than an itinerant laborer. The last thing he anticipated was saving a comely lass. But then, life has a way of working out. Especially for a duke of the realm. The woman found him special, despite his supposed common status. For the first time in his life, someone saw the true man, not his title. What would she do if she learned the truth? A fate he was unwilling to risk.

Don’t Bother

Excellent story potential never brought to fruition. Poor writing and many errors. First of which is that a duke is never addressed as “Lord.” “Your Grace” or “His Grace, the Duke of ..... is correct.
The narrator is American. This would not have been such an issue if she had been able to demonstrate that she could speak with a British accent.

Historia
Cora Wilcox has been trapped in a maelstrom of depression since the disappearance of her dear friend Audrina. As a midwife, Cora has seen her fair share of joy and heartbreak, and after a particularly tragic evening, Cora is injured in a horrific car accident. Instead of waking in the hospital, she instead finds herself in a green field in the medieval Scottish highlands. The Lady of the castle is in her childbed, but something isn’t right, and the midwife is nowhere to be found.

I tried but failed to get through this audio book, because it seemed like such a great storyline. Unfortunately, the narrator prevented me from doing so. A llack of proper phrasing caused him to become out of breath repeatedly! Very noticeable and definitely distracting. He sounded very much like the voice of Winnie the Pooh.
Perhaps, I’ll try to read the book instead - or maybe not.

It's me again, Stevie Cartwright. Powerless ex-witch, pseudo medium, and amateur sleuth, reporting to you live from the case of the missing ex-British spy turned ghost/quite possibly one of the most important people to ever become a part of my life. You read that right. As Win and I and all the gang were busy planning our big Thanksgiving bash, he suddenly disappeared (right in the middle of telling me what a Philistine I am for even suggesting Cheez Whiz and crackers), and it's as if he never existed. Poof - he's just gone!

This IS Love!
Revisado: 02-26-19
This is my favorite Dakota Cassidy series of all!
From the characters to the situations and the angst to the sheer joy that filled every book, this was fictional writing at its best.
The choice of having Hollie Jackson narrate the series was, as Win put it, “brilliant!”
These are books I’ll definitely listen to again!
Bravo, Dakota, Bravo!

According to the law of attraction, women and men can't be friends. Contrary to this myth, my friendship with Coriander Phillips does not rest on unrequited love or un-actualized lust. We've been inseparable since the day I pulled one of her pigtails and she punched me in the gut. She's hilarious, fun to hang out with. Together, we're like peanut butter and jelly, spaghetti and meatballs, wings and beer. A match made in heaven.

Ugh...
Revisado: 10-10-18
This book definitely needed an editor; or a better one, for content alone. How many years had Dean and Cori known each other? 20? 26? Somewhere in between? Blessedly, I got through this book in 2 hours by skipping right over most of it. The ending was as disappointing as the rest of it.
The narrators sounded like 15 year olds rather than almost 30 year olds, or were they 27, but that is probably more attributable to the story and dialogue than their narration.

Scot?
Revisado: 09-02-18
The story was fine, but the Scottish accent of Blaine, the Scot? Was he an an Englishman instead? The narrator never masked the fact that she couldn’t produce a Scottish accent. The Romance package books (as this one is) are hits a misses. This is a miss.

Historia
After a really busy summer, things have settled down for my crew here in Ebenezer Falls. That is, until my favorite spy, Win, has a crazy recollection of the night he was murdered. His memory leads us to the new tattoo artist in town who just happens to be an ex-nun named Trixie Lavender. Sister Trixie has a gifted tattoo artist for a sidekick who just happens to be a demon straight from the bowels of Hell... A demon who, coincidentally, is accused of murder, that is. You know what that means - Stevie and the gang to the rescue!

Not my favorite
Revisado: 07-15-18
This was not my favorite “Witchless in Seattle” book. I wish this book marked the end of the series wherein Stevie and Win were finally united. I’m not sure I’ll read another unless the next one is the last. The series has been dragged out so long that the novelty that once made it pleasantly charming has become fairly boring. Ms. Cassidy, please bring this series to an exciting and satisfying end.
Hollie Jackson is, as always, amazing!

Historia
Anthea Cane is a successful actress - well, action star. Her films are mostly about how hot she looks silhouetted by fiery explosions. But Anthea is determined to prove she's more than just a body. With the role of a lifetime up for grabs - a serious adaptation of her favorite novel - Anthea sets off to her small hometown in the name of research. Cole Daniel is a blind farmer with no patience for divas, especially one who mercilessly teased him as a young boy. When Anthea shows up using a fake name and pestering him into letting her stay, he can't pass up the opportunity to torment her just a little.

I had every intention of doing all of those tasks I’d been putting off for weeks today on my day off. Then I started listening to this book. You know what they say about “Best laid plans...”
Very sweet book with just the right amount of spice - not too hot. Eva Kaminski brought this story to life like nobody else could.

I love the power, the intimacy, the euphoria it brings. Too bad I'm not having any... You'd think as New Orleans's most renowned sex therapist that I'd be swimming in single men. I loved this nook. Especially loved the way the author introduces the characters and character development. Loved, loved , loved Kyle.
Also, I have two new favorite narrators! They complimented each other extremely well and truly were believable as Spencer and Cooper.

Not even close to their best work
Revisado: 04-12-18
If this were the first book I had read by Keeland and Ward, it would have been the last. I was so tired of the “back door” talk by the middle of the book, I couldn’t finish it. Not a prude, just wasn’t into the amount of attention this was given. The female lead was aggravating and confused while the lead male seemed to have split personalities. Obviously, I’m not interested in the consecutive book.
Ugh. Just ugh.

This is the sweetest, sexiest, most heartwarming historical romance I’ve ever read or heard. It’s a story of forgiveness and second chances and, of course, love written by an excellent storyteller and voiced by a brilliant narrator.
