I have listened to many ( I hope all of Benedict Brown’s) mysteries and always laugh out loud and learn a great deal! Always listen to the historical notes at the end and I always marvel at the narrator’s many voices!

Lyrical descriptions

I enjoyed the story which I thought was good. Mostly loved the way she described the different Australian landscapes the lonely place in the Outback,the seascapes, and beautiful gardens. I’m sad that I will never see that environment today as the descriptions are of an area 60 years ago and all things change.

This book has everything!

It’s a mystery, it’s a love story, it’s so funny, mostly it’s about coming into your own when most people think you are done! It’s a story about four septuagenarians and octogenarian’sI know all the people they come into contact with while trying to solve a murder! Can I submit

Historically interesting and accurate Victorian England

Very close attention to detail - however I don't care for some much blood and gore! Probably won't read the other books in the series.

Choppy nothing on the front end and then resolved abruptly

Some of the descriptive text was tedious and so repetitive
I feel I should give the series a try - but the improbability of this particular story has shaken me!

Not my favorite

I have loved each book in this series - however I feel that Maisy's grief in this story almost overwhelms the plot. She is such an articulate strong woman and her grief is incongruous to the woman we know and love.
