A Life Lived Well

I was most impressed with how well Geddy told the full story of his life. I admire him. While he certainly lived the rock star life, his story is about growing up, learning from his mistakes, and gaining wisdom.

A great listen whether you are a Rush fan or not.

A Remarkable Life Lived

Harry Constance lived and survived a long Navy career that had both success and failure. His story illustrates the difference between a wartime military and a peacetime one. His story is mainly one of perseverance and integrity.

Overview of WWII In The Pacific

What did you like best about this story?

This was a very fast moving historical overview of the Pacific theater of war.

What does Robert Petkoff and Bill O'Reilly bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The narration was very well done.

Any additional comments?

This is a good book for someone who is not very familiar with this history. If you are already a student of WWII history, this covers mostly familiar territory.

I thought William Hurt did a great job giving a unique voice to the various characters.

I think the story did a good job of describing the bohemian lifestyle lived by a group of friends in Paris and Spain during the 1920's.

If you could sum up The Great Bridge in three words, what would they be?

No I can't. Nevertheless, I found this to be a very interesting story that I listened to over a year ago and I still think back upon it from time to time.

What did you like best about this story?

There are 3 stories here, the physics of building a bridge, the biography of the chief engineer, and the history of New York City.

This book was certainly one of the most thrilling stories from start to finish, there was never a dull moment.

Steve Spielberg has already made the movie titled, "Munich" which is also a thriller.

I found the stories about Lebanon interesting.

The story line jumps around in time and place from the 1980's to 2010 mostly in the middle east, but some of Europe as well without much continuity. The book is organized more as a collection of short stories about various assassins and their targets.
