The definitive guide on crypto

Chris does a masterful job of explaining the history of the Internet, the rise of today's modern Tech, Giants, and the promise that lies in blockchain and crypto. This book has become a must read for anyone, not very familiar about how crypto works, or who may even be skeptical about it. The way, Chris describes the "attract and then extract" cycle of FAANG and how eventually these major companies are pitted against their customers is enlightening, and makes you view blockchain differently.

Hopelessly inaccurate. An extreme disappointment.

I am so disappointed after reading this book. I’ve lost all confidence in Michael Lewis telling accurate stories. Having spent many years studying cryptocurrency, it shocks me how many enormous mistakes he makes — complete facial inaccuracies. The book strikes me as a way for him to capitalize on the moment and get his payday, while for some reason ignoring all logic and falling for Sam’s spell. Numerous “facts” from Lewis have already been struck down as false from direct testimony in the hearing. It’s so disappointing that Lewis couldn’t deliver. By the way, how exactly is it that Lewis is so off base after having spent months with Sam? What’s he hiding or compensating for?

Entirely too long, detailed, and boring

This entire book could be cut down in size by 90%. It goes on forever, into entirely too much detail which is irrelevant. Laura tried to turn this into something so much longer than it needs to be.

Outstanding book. Incredible account of SF failure

This book is nothing short of brilliant and illuminating. If you've stepped foot in SF -- let alone lived here -- you'll know that something is terribly wrong with this city. This book helped explain what is wrong with San Francisco, and offered solutions on how to fix things. I hope the messages in this book spread to as many people as possible. Despite the public vitriol against SF, I remain optimistic that we can fix it. This book helps to offer some solutions in addition to simply pointing out why it's so broken. A must read for any SF citizen.

Interesting book -- fascinating stories

This was a really interesting book about the history of Coinbase, the most well-known company in the cryptocurrency space. It was a great read, even though the voiceover artist mispronounces Satoshi Nakamoto. If you're interested in cryptocurrency and the future of finance, this book is well worth the read.

Overly negative, repetitive, and biased hit piece on Travis Kalanick

The book started off well, but quickly became incredibly repetitive. For all of the great innovation Uber has given us, the book mostly focuses on their flaws as a result of growing quickly. This is not to say that the behavior was OK, but the author sounds like a broken record in his attempt to disgrace Kalanick’s name. At times it felt like the author believed we should go back to horse and buggy.
