Historia
As the youngest daughter of a country music legend, Raegan Farrow longs to establish an identity away from the spotlight and publish her small-town romances under a pen name. But after her dream is dashed when she won't exploit her mother’s fame to further her own career, she hears a rumor from a reliable source regarding a tell-all being written about the Farrow family. Making matters worse, the unknown author has gone to great lengths to remain anonymous until publication.

Faith, love and family
Revisado: 06-18-24
This is the 2nd book in the series but it could be read as a standalone as there was no overlap to the previous storyline barring the mention of Chip and Ali. From Ali was introduced, I thought she would end up with Chip and thats what the next series would probably focus on but this was so much better.
The themes of friendship and sisterhood was a linking theme and I really liked that there was more incorporation of God and faith in this series. I liked the complexities of the family issues and how the author emphasized the importance of communication, prayer and trusting God. There was a bit of a dip in the storyline but the full read was all worth it in the end. This story is tied with Before I called you mine as my faves from the author.

Historia
As a senior acquisitions editor for Fog Harbor Books in San Francisco, Ingrid Erikson has rejected many a manuscript for lack of defined conflict and dramatic irony—two elements her current life possesses in spades. In the months following the death of her childhood best friend and international bestselling author Cece Campbell, Ingrid has not only lost her ability to escape into fiction due to a rare trauma response, but she's also desperate to find the closure she is convinced will come with Cece's missing final manuscript.

Not just a simple romance
Revisado: 06-17-24
I like that this book had different themes and the main focus wasn’t just the romance but on friendship and family. The ending was predictable but the journey through the book was far more interesting.

Thank God for the flashbacks
Revisado: 06-06-24
The story was beautifully written, but it was heartbreakingly depressing. I would not recommend reading it if you are in the early stages of grief. The flashbacks make the book more bearable, but it remains truly heartbreaking.

There is a fountain filled with love
Revisado: 03-21-24
I was getting annoyed with Angel/Amanda/Mara/Terza/ Sarah in how she wouldn’t understand Michael love and even a bit with Michael. It wasnt until I got to Chapter 28, taken a break and was listening to the hymn there is a fountain filled with blood that the entire theme of redemptive love really struck home. The book is shone a light on the transformative power of redeeming love. It serves as a reminder that regardless if our past God’s love remains STEADFAST and UNWAVERING, patiently waiting our acceptance.. Here is the hymn lyric that gave this book a deeper meaning for me: E’er since by faith I saw the stream
Thy flowing wounds supply,
Redeeming love has been my theme,
And shall be till I die:
And shall be till I die,
And shall be till I die;
Redeeming love has been my theme,
And shall be till I die.

The narrator did a great job and the storyline was good as well; easy to listen to and engaging. This was my first novel from this author and I wasn’t disappointed.

Good read
Revisado: 04-26-22
Part 1 of the book really had me falling in love with Ryle and then being utterly disgusted with him in part 2.
I liked how the letters were incorporated to give the backstory on Altas and the abuse in her home growing up but wished the writer had explored a bit more of adult Atlas.
The performance was good, my only issue was the Vehgas! lol.
