This was such a great book. I was excited about what was going to happen next and about the MC leveling. I really liked it all. I am sad that only book 2 is available now and I hope more keeps coming!

I hate the main character

I liked it all! It was great having a mc that wasn’t self righteous. He had actual mental trauma and showed how that can affect someone and their feelings and choices. He is overall a good person, but is filled with much darkness. If you screw him over he will deal with you without hesitation. If you are a friend he will defend and protect you. He will always still protect himself first which is fine imo. Most MC will just throw their life away for anyone even if they just met five seconds before. I get the hero thing and it is fine, but this MC is much more realistic imo. Also when he chooses to be the hero it is much more meaningful.

Just a great story and MC

I am reading this for “free” since it is part of the audible free books this month or whatever. I would never use a credit normally for books that are 8 hours. This book was 11 hours, but the rest are 8ish give or take. This story has been one of the best I have read in a long time. The story is great and the MC is excellent. I love his abilities and the special spell he receives. It just annoys me when books this small cost the same as other books which are 20+ hours. I still recommend this series if you are able. I also love the narrative voice. He is great.

This was included free in membership. I would honestly never spend a credit to get an 8 hour book, but since it was free I listened to it. I do really like it and it was interesting. The main character is unique and I have not encountered a main with his certain problem. I would suggest this if it is free, but not long enough to warrant a credit imo.

Luke Daniels is amazing as always

The main character is kinda dumb, but otherwise it is all good. I mean sometimes the main characters make stupid decisions, but are overall somewhat intelligent. This guy is just a strait up idiot most of the time lol. That doesn’t necessarily make the story bad though. I just prefer the main to be a tad smarter, or maybe I am just so used to that it is strange when it is like this. Either way, I still liked the book and would recommend it.

I love video games and am a big mmorpg player myself. I can say it would be a dream for this book to be my own reality. This was my first experience with this genre and it was amazing. I finished this book and immediately purchased the rest of the series.
