No interview until the end. Then ends abruptly.
Revisado: 02-14-25
The title is very misleading. The interview begins in the last 1.25 hours of the book, and then is abruptly ended to get you to buy the eventual sequal. Not cool. The entire book revolves around the main character, who is bumbling around trying to write a book, all while seeing entities here and there, that never engage. Huge amounts of fluff. would have been better condensed. The narrator did a good enough job, and wasn't annoying.

Decent Story - Awful Narrator
Revisado: 01-18-25
The narrator ruined a nice horror story. I have NO idea why the author chose this narrator. Think "Flamboyant, Feminine Male Disney" voice full of sass and fairy dust for every character and situation, who greatly struggles with finding a masculine voice, and never does find it. He left his testosterone at the door. All characters sound identical, except for demons; they have their own same voices.
The narrator turned this into a go-lucky story, which destroyed any mental picture of anything horrible happening. Such an wful disservice to the audio book.

Crazy. Brutal. Unpredictable. And those are their good qualities. A pair of foul-mouthed mercenaries go on a suicide mission in this otherworldly fantasy. After accepting a mission that no one wanted, He-Dog and Ballless travel the treacherous Lands of the South to the glittering city of Foust. There, they find the fabled walls under siege. A vicious, seething army of Beastmen surround the city, intent on sacking it and feasting upon every last citizen within.

Fast-paced storyline, but you won't get lost with tons of names or weird plot Transitions. The story is linear, clearly laid out, and runs smoothly. A very easy and lively romp.

Historia
On a quiet seafront in the middle of the afternoon the sun sets, the clouds part and something like a pale, elongated human figure appears on the horizon. For Maria, watching from the beach, it’s proof that she should never have dared to return. Five years earlier, her life shattered by the arrival of the Stone Man, she’d fled the country. But now she can’t escape: suddenly, there are news reports of ‘Empty Men’ materialising all around the coast, and the roads are gridlocked. The Empty Men are killers, and they’re heading inland.

Historia
Charlie Reade looks like a regular high school kid, great at baseball and football, a decent student. But he carries a heavy load. His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. Sometimes strange sounds emerge from that shed.

...King's Liberal swill ideology found its way into a few places, but not obnoxiously, or in a way that made me want to get a refund. But he does need to drop that crap from his stories. Narrator is spot-on, maybe even better than the story itself. nine of the voices pulled me from the fantastical story.

Historia
More than two centuries after World War III poisoned the planet, the final bastion of humanity lives on massive airships circling the globe in search of a habitable area to call home. Aging and outdated, most of the ships plummeted back to Earth long ago. The only thing keeping the two surviving lifeboats in the sky are Hell Divers - men and women who risk their lives by skydiving to the surface to scavenge for parts the ships desperately need.

Great balance between reality and fantasy. Reissue characters and situations for the most part. The reader has the same voice for all females and children, so it gets a little wonky with whom is talking. Thankfully it's a book, so most sentences include whom is talking.

Meh, OK
Revisado: 06-20-20
His stories become more tame and less creative as he ages. It seems as though he's simply killing time with his typewriter for the sake of publishing more stuff. He's also become more feminist, and almost hateful of men, sliding in male stereotypes, and having them be brow beaten by female characters. In real life, King is becoming more and more of a... pansy... which is fitting for him these days. Very sad. I'm not sure if I'll be reading/listening to his future books.

Disappointed with the writer
Revisado: 01-29-20
I may return to his writings once he's learned some life lessons. At this point, his writings are littered with political slants, slaps, and a fair dose of Anti-semitism, which added nothing to the story, but gave him a quick platform to spout racism and bigotry. The writings are mostly amateur Stephen King, wandering for identity, struggling to find ways to make the reader be afraid of something that is simply boring. Sorely disappointed. Goodbye, tailcoat rider.

Historia
In the middle of the night, in a house on a quiet street in suburban Minneapolis, intruders silently murder Luke Ellis' parents and load him into a black SUV. The operation takes less than two minutes. Luke will wake up at The Institute, in a room that looks just like his own, except there's no window. And outside his door are other doors, behind which are other kids with special talents - telekinesis and telepathy - who got to this place the same way Luke did: Kalisha, Nick, George, Iris, and 10-year-old Avery Dixon.

Just not King any longer
Revisado: 01-22-20
His last few books are a far cry from the old Stephen King. He's getting tired and bored with his life, which is made apparent through his writing. Predictable story with no twists, turns, or surprises. He gives us the back story on the bad guys and gals towards the end of the book, which was frustrating, as knowing some of their info would have made things far more interesting and added some much needed foreshadowing.
