The author is a very good writer and the narrator was excellent, but the story itself was painfully slow, tedious, and boring. I finally gave up at the end of chapter 14 because I found myself wondering why I was even continuing listening.

I had hoped I would enjoy this but it's extremely frustrating to listen for so many hours and nothing ever happens. Not a horror book at all. It's more of a study of the most minute details of the main character's life.

I enjoyed listening to it. Albeit your twisted views of come of the elements of Christianity you mentioned. I hope there is a sequel. It just ended! In a random spot

I loved this book! It was not fully what I expected, but totally worth the read.

This was not what I was expecting

The title is very misleading. The interview begins in the last 1.25 hours of the book, and then is abruptly ended to get you to buy the eventual sequal. Not cool. The entire book revolves around the main character, who is bumbling around trying to write a book, all while seeing entities here and there, that never engage. Huge amounts of fluff. would have been better condensed. The narrator did a good enough job, and wasn't annoying.

No interview until the end. Then ends abruptly.

I really liked the depiction of Lucifer. Well done! I could sense the deception even in the face of what Lucifer was presenting as “the real story”.

I liked the plot of the story and how it progressed from being a sceptic to meeting the devil. Then making the devil more of an equal to God.

Didn't do any research on this book so I didn't know it was a series, I wished Audible had the other two, but otherwise I enjoyed the first book and perhaps will get the physical copies of the other two down the road

Great Listen!

Everything about this book was enjoyable. It was heavily referencing of Stephen King, however, I’m into that! The pacing was excellent to build slow, uncanny dread. This hits the niche spot of “uh oh, something isn’t right here” and you start to feel it before the main character does. This story hits notes of creepy, scary, uncanny, dry wit funny, and even gets into some absurdity! Great narration! An almost endearing and sympathetic portal of Satan…almost! But certainly a fun portrayal of the Devil! Beautiful writing, legitimately scary, perfect narration! Highly recommend!
