Through his imagined journals of Adam and Eve, Mark Twain wrote what has been called “one of the great love stories of all time.” Mandy Patinkin and Betty Buckley bring Adam and Eve to life, capturing the expected humor as well as the tender eloquence of Twain’s most personal, heartfelt writing. In one of his last recordings, Walter Cronkite provides an illuminating commentary on how the author came to reinterpret the Genesis story.

Historia
Based on a far-reaching study of thousands of individuals, Finding Flow contends that we often walk through our days unaware of and out of touch with our emotional lives. Our inattention makes us constantly bounce between two extremes: During much of the day, we live filled with the anxiety and pressures of our work and obligations, and during our leisure moments, we tend to live in passive boredom.

Most books about the history of humanity pursue either a historical or a biological approach, but Dr. Yuval Noah Harari breaks the mold with this highly original book. From examining the role evolving humans have played in the global ecosystem to charting the rise of empires, Sapiens integrates history and science to reconsider accepted narratives, connect past developments with contemporary concerns, and examine specific events within the context of larger ideas.

Beyond any expectation!!! Read it!!!
Revisado: 09-19-18
This book made me gasp so many times! This book should be added to the school curriculum world wide. This will help lower ignorance levels (definitely helped me with mine) and hopefully reduce questions like “Well how do you think we got here if not by a creator, by chance?!” to the possible minimum. A truly comprehensive look at human history written in a very captivating way.

Historia
Alan Watts discusses the fundamental attitudes that run through all religions or "ways of liberation," as the Far Eastern disciplines might better be described. By following these practices to the extremes of repentance, rebellion, and resignation, one may be freed from the endless cycles of reincarnation which perpetuate the human condition.

A true understanding of religion
Revisado: 07-29-18
Alan is a pleasure to listen to even if he was reading a dictionary. Regarding this specific work, he manages to expose the core of the main religious approaches to life and their fundamental conflicts (self contradictions). This work is a must for every student of theology, regardless of his “level of expertise”.

A great intro
Revisado: 07-16-18
This book feels like concentrated juice.
Covers the main points fast, maybe a bit too fast at times.
And it could have been nice if the author included examples from subjects other than politics.
Overall, I enjoyed it despite the political flavor, and would have read more.

Historia
In the tradition of Bertrand Russell's Why I Am Not a Christian and Sam Harris' recent best-seller, The End of Faith, Christopher Hitchens makes the ultimate case against religion. With a close and erudite reading of the major religious texts, he documents the ways in which religion is a man-made wish, a cause of dangerous sexual repression, and a distortion of our origins in the cosmos.

Hitchens is amazing
Revisado: 07-04-18
Hitchens is amazing, but maybe he shouldn’t have been the reader of his own work...
Regardless of the performance, this book delivers a very harsh criticism on religion, its roots and what it stands for.
If you are yourself a believer that wonders what possible arguments could someone have against “our creator”, this book summarized most of them, or at least the very good ones.

Richard Dawkins' brilliant reformulation of the theory of natural selection has the rare distinction of having provoked as much excitement and interest outside the scientific community as within it. His theories have helped change the whole nature of the study of social biology, and have forced thousands to rethink their beliefs about life.

Note: This is a summary and not the original book. Amoral, ruthless, devious, and pragmatic, The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene is a self-help book offering crucial advice to anyone interested in gaining, maintaining, or defending against power. The feeling of having no power over people or events is usually unbearable - when we feel helpless, we feel miserable. We all want power, no matter who we are, what goals we have, or where we come from.

The original book has two versions on audible, one is 9 hours ling the other is 23 hours long.
This version saved me A LOT of time.
Very focused summary.
Regarding the story itself, if you are new to psychology and the art of influence, this book will blow your mind.
If you are experienced however, this is a great summary of the key points you should keep in mind.
