Great characters, real depth, combined with intelligent adversary’s
Revisado: 09-15-24
This was a really good story very realistic. I like the concept of PAC hunting Sasquatch I like the concept of unknown reasons for why they became hostile as opposed to passive. The only thing that I think could be better is if it was read by an actual person. AI just doesn’t know how to say certain things or pronounce certain things which kind of knocks you out of the moment over and over.

This was a unique take on infection/zombie/mutant survival. The characters were well developed and the protagonist’s were very well established. This is a great read for anyone who likes infection/zombie/mutations and in-depth military action.

Well established characters and realistic human behaviors good and bad.
Revisado: 03-05-24
As a zombie story aficionado, I consume everything zombie and apocalypse related, and this story does not disappoint. All books are well written. The characters are well-developed and the human behavior the way people go crazy and crazy times, and the way people come together and crazy times is actually really not too far out there from what I’ve seen in a few Third World countries while in service.

Overall worth the read. Not much excitement but some very unique situations. Important lore covered in this story but would have been better if intermixed with actual accounts of battle and or action.

Historia
As the ash and chaos from Mount Rainier’s eruption swirled and finally settled, the story of the Greenloop massacre has passed unnoticed, unexamined...until now. The journals of resident Kate Holland, recovered from the town’s bloody wreckage, capture a tale too harrowing - and too earth-shattering in its implications - to be forgotten. In this audiobook, Max Brooks brings Kate’s extraordinary account to light for the first time, faithfully reproducing her words alongside his own extensive investigations into the massacre and the legendary beasts behind it.

Fascinating and thought provoking story of survival against an unimaginable foe
Revisado: 09-18-23
I’ve always been a fan of Max Brooks mainly because I love zombie books, zombie stories, and zombie survival pretty much anything to do with the apocalypse. When I saw there was a book about Sasquatch, I was instantly intrigued. And I was not disappointed. The characters are well thought out the behaviors. Unfortunately of the characters are all too frequent among ultra liberals, and while I don’t believe the story is an indictment on the liberal mentality of not being self-sufficient, I believe the way the characters evolved into self-sufficiency Shows the potential for even the most inept in our society to begrudgingly turn to logic and reason as well as personal responsibility and community. One rifle would have made this a non story so I’m glad these characters were so deluded in their own moral superiority and in their reliance on a government system. A great way to tell a story about how the system will eventually fail and personal responsibility and reliance always comes back to the forefront.
