I have loved Jayne Frost since meeting her in Nocturne Falls. Adding Sinclair to her story line has been awesome. Both Sinclair and Jayne always seem to find a bit of trouble and mystery when they go anywhere. Nashville is no exception. This time trouble finds Sinclair in the most bananas and a peanut butter way. Let's just say that the motorhome gets a little more crowded.

Having two narrators is so perfect for this book. It makes listening to it almost like watching it play out on screen. I hope that the rest of Jayne's books have the same two reading it to us.

I always know that when I start a Kristen Painter book I will be enchanted from the first sentence. The continuation of the Nocturne Falls series with Death Dates the Oracle doesn't disappoint. Kristen has a way of making the unbelievable very believable and engrossing you into the town, the characters and the story. Being of Greek decent I love love loved that part of the story-line. The mythology and supernatural aspects combination was flawless. Once again, I could listen to B.J. Harrison in every audio book! He has a way of making me envision the characters and their emotions and facial expressions with just his voice. His accents and pitches are spot on and keep me on track with the story with the simple change of voice.

I've loved this series so far. I really am enjoying the story line of both sides. Of course I want to root for Sparrow but I am also feeling sympathetic to Queen Anyka. Kristen Painter has been able to give her readers a very clear reason as to why Anyka is the way she is. Ro is a very intelligent queen and even though she has been thrust into the this new life she has adapted very well.

I can't wait for the next book in the series! I'm sure with what has transpired in this story, the next book will be even more exciting and filled with more magic, mystery and a little romance.

I must say...sorry, apropos...that Martin Short absolutely delivered with his autobiography. I'm very fortunate that I am a teen of the mid 80s, a young adult of the late 80/early 90s that I was there when Martin Short exploded onto the scene. I stayed up late to watch SCTV and SNL (as well as a little known show called Fridays that no one seems to remember but it was only on for one season). Getting to know him on a personal level made my perspective of him as a lovable, caring and sweet man even greater. I was surprised by much of his history, his dating life, his family and his personal anecdotes on his life's work and the behind the scenes on not only his experiences on the different shows but also his movies. Because I am so familiar with his famous characters I could easily picture them while listening to the voices (eg Jiminy Glick, Ed Grimley etc) and I smiled and laughed many times. He didn't bad mouth his fellow cast mates or actors which is refreshing and truly embodies his good guy persona. I really enjoyed listening to his professional history as well as getting to know him on a personal level. Much of his personal history I was not aware of and my respect level of him grew considerably. Learning about many of his former cast mates, many of which who have become mega stars themselves, was a bonus.

Me and my husband's only negative feedback is some of the voice actors. Those that were voicing some of the actors came off whiney and unbearable at times. It was difficult not to be affected by how the person spoke and how it was coming across. For example Johnny Galecki was made to sound like a snotty, self absorbed boor. We had to listen to what was being said vs how it was delivered or it would have really affected our perspective on the actor himself.

My husband and I enjoyed listening to all the behind the scenes of the show (we listen while we drive). I stream this show almost nightly and watch several episodes each time. It helps me wind down to get to sleep. I think I have probably watched each episode a dozen or more times and know most of the dialogue. While listening I was able to picture the particular episode or scene very clearly. Many times my husband and I commented in surprise with the tidbit that was shared.

I really enjoyed listening to a different perspective on the classic Jekyll and Hyde tale. I only gave it 4 stars because it was such a quick turn around for them to fall so madly in love. I understand we are supposed to be allowing our minds to wrap around Shadowvale itself and saying that it is improbable for two people to fall for each other that hard that quickly is silly. Of course it can happen, it was just a little tough with as little interaction as the two main characters had that they do. I enjoyed B.J. Harris once again as the narrator. He didn't seem to try as hard this time I'm afraid but still very enjoyable to listen to his voice. I am anxious to listen to the next Shadowvale story!

First I knew I would love this since Kristen is one of my favorite authors and being able to visit Nocturne Falls with Jayne and Sinclair is always fun. We got to visit with a few of the town's folk from previous stories and that is a special treat, Sheriff and Birdie are two of my favorite characters and now we have a new citizen in Nocturne Falls that will hopefully make it into their own story. Makes me want to start the entire Nocturne Falls series all over again. Second, I loved having two narrators. B.J. Harrison is a favorite of mine and I always know I'm going to enjoy listening to whatever he is reading. Hollis McCarthy makes a perfect Jayne! I certainly hope that they will be reading the next Jayne Frost together again.

The story was inventive, fresh and fun. I couldn't figure out the culprit until right before it was revealed and that makes for a great mystery. Trying to figure out the why to the first part of the mystery then trying to figure out the who made for a fun ride. The special ending makes me hopeful for at least one more in Jayne Frost series, crossing fingers for many more. I still say that Nocturne Falls, Jayne Frost and Shadowvale would make for very powerful TV series!

If you are a fan of the Harry Potter books and movie franchise you will enjoy this very much. Tom Felton's narrating is awesome. His recollection of events and anecdotes of the other actors are so much fun. I laughed audibly (no pun intended) several times while listening. If Tom decides to narrate another book I would probably buy it, he was thoroughly enjoyable to listen to. He is coming across as a very regular guy, very likable, very humble and nothing like his famous character Draco.

Spoiler Free :: My minds eye was exploding with the intricate detail of Kristen Painter's descriptions of everything I was supposed to be seeing in her newest book The Accidental Queen. I could see everything in full color and texture from the landscape, the clothing, foods, tapestries, buildings, rooms and people. I love Kristen's writing! I devour everything she writes because it feels like it's playing out on a big screen. The story was beautifully written with a mix of real life goings on for a woman in her mid-life with a fun supernatural, slight Arthurian, twist. As I've read so much of Kristen's writing I knew it would be an enjoyable read/listen that always puts a smile on my face and let's me escape from real life to put me in a fantastical world on a fun journey, a world that on the edges of my mind I wish at times it were real. I actually listened to it in the car with my husband while on a road trip and he was getting into it and commenting on the story and characters and said he liked it. Looking forward to the next book in the series and I'm sure my husband wants to know what happens as well.

The Sandman visits Nocturne Falls! Book 3 does not disappoint in this series. There are some new characters introduced along with some lore, as well as characters we've met in the Nocturne Falls series. There is mystery, comedy, a little romance with some twists and a talking cat. This was a fun listen and I could totally see it as part of a TV series.
