The Kindred stories are one, if not my favorite, sci-fi, alien romance, and fantasies. And this author is my favorite. However, this particular story had so many glitches in the recording that it was highly disappointing, making the storyline hard to follow and inconsistent. The narrator was okay. I suggest they put out a corrected recording of this story without the glitches and ensure that those of us who spent our money or credits get an updated copy of it. Very, very disappointing.

Virtual Voice is not for me

I loved the storyline—great job to the author. I continued to push through to the end only because of the storyline. The monotone voice of the virtual voice is unbearable. The male voice and the female voice were identical. There were very little to no fluctuations in vocal tone, and as short as this story was, it took everything within me to focus and push through to the end.

I love the entire series! Waiting for more. A great story where the characters' journey is the focus and the sex and passion is not overpowering.

Major cliffhanger!!!

A terrific story with great performances by the narrators. Very disappointed that right in the middle of the story, it ends. No completion and a major cliffhanger with no second book available.

Love the Story and the power of Song

I really love the story and the action in this series. Very passive sexual play compared to other Alien Romance books. I appreciate the power that song and music have over the Aliens. I would love to see an African-American or woman of color in this series. I also hope the next book Which I have already listened to is not the last. We need more, especially since there is a new Class 5 that is female on the rise. Read in order in order to get the best out of each book.

Almost couldn’t get through this book

I love the storyline and the male narrator, but the heroine's voice. It was so obnoxious I almost sent the book back. I decided to grit through only because of the storyline, and I often skipped through the chapters where the heroine spoke. What I find interesting is that I have never had an issue with Felicity Munroe. Also, listening to the intro of the next book, the voice of the female character is perfect even though it is the same narrator. I decided not to send a book back simply because I anxiously await the next book in this wonderful series.

Love the leading African American woman

Great storyline, and the narrators' performance was excellent. I am always wary about male voices performing women characters. However, the best part of this book was the strong African American character. I wish more of these types of books would feature strong Black characters, as well as sexy voluptuous “BI-POC” women. I laughed when the reference on how we as black women feel about our hair and water. I hope this continues. Aliens are not white and are not always attracted to blonds or gingers. Great Job!!!

Unsure how I feel

I liked the storyline, the narration was okay, sex scenes less than exciting. This is not on the caliber of a Donna Grant or Laurann Dohner forsure. I am going to try the next book in this series to see how I feel.

It is about time!!! African/Black Characters that are solid and powerful shifters with the added power of the Orisha and African-based spirituality is just what I have been waiting for! Sexy beings that are unapologetically black and curvy, we have been waiting for these channeled tales.
I look forward to more from this author. I look forward to witnessing her growth as she becomes more comfortable with her craft. This book tugs at my heart like L.A. Banks' first books did, and I watched her grow and fell in love with her characters and storylines in the Vampire Huntress series. I am waiting for more!

Very Disappointing

I was very disappointed with this book. Chapters and chapters of sex, constant complaining and reiteration of the characters fears. It was Difficult to listen to each chapter without skipping to the next which often was a continuation of the characters passion or their lack of sexual follow-through. After chapter 4 I could have skipped to chapter 25 leaving everything in between out and not missed the story line. I hesitate to listen to the other books, this was painful.
