Historia
Without an academic endorsement to make him valuable to the high fey, Saffron will be sent back through the veil to the human world. The place he was traded from as a changeling-baby, and a place he is terrified of. And while getting an endorsement shouldn't be impossible, it's hindered by the fact his literacy is self-taught, using books stolen off of Morrígan Academy's campus of high fey students.

Cliffhanger at the end but overall worth it
Revisado: 01-19-25
I probably won’t spend money on book 2 since I know there is a third book and book 2 will probably end on another cliffhanger, I hate that which is why I left off a Star. If book 3 is the last book I’ll get that one so I know how things turn out for the characters. Book one and two should not be separate books, I would rather pay more for a complete story than less for only part of a story. Book 1 was really enjoyable though, I liked the main characters as well as the side characters although the progression of romance between the main characters was not as gradual as what seemed most likely however the passing of time in a book can be challenging so it was still gradual enough to feel believable which I appreciate. Instant love relationships are not as much fun to read about in my opinion. This audiobook had me smiling a lot, the romance was really sweet and well written. Overall I’m glad I spent my credit on this book. I will note the author does refer to a single person as “they” subscribing to the non gender ideology prevalent in today’s society which can be confusing since “they” means more than one person but they do it so much it’s clear what is intended by the word. I would have been more confused by the wording had I not already come across that in another book. It took me longer to understand that time spending a good portion of the book thinking a group was on a mission instead of only one person, but oh well. I didn’t finish that book since it was all messed up in my head but this book gets the point across much better.

Historia
Sikthand hadn't planned to take the stubborn little human hostage. But with political tensions at an all-time high, he had no choice. He would unflinchingly use her as a bargaining chip to secure better relations with the new Tremantian ruler. He would not, however, fall prey to her charms. When Sophia and Sikthand realize how far their enemies are willing to go to grab galactic power, they're forced into an unlikely alliance-and possibly a marriage of convenience-to protect their people. It's a good plan, too, if they don't do anything irrational along the way. Like falling in love.

Good enough for audible, not good enough for bookshelf
Revisado: 01-10-25
The characters resisted their feeling for each other to an annoying degree. All characters are likable and the story was good but they are only truly happy together for like half a chapter before the book ends which was frustrating. The ending felt a bit rushed and wished it ended with more information about side characters.

I'm a pirate. I value only one thing more than treasure—my freedom. When I first saw King Vaxarion of Morilren, I knew that he was dangerous. All Sea Dragons are dangerous. But this one threatened me specifically. My freedom. All it took was one night with him and I knew he would enslave me. I knew if I stayed with him, all three of my hearts would soon be his. So, I left. But he came after me. He saved my life. And instead of claiming it as was his right, he let me go. Now, I'll do anything to get him back. Give up everything for him. Even the one thing I value most.

Not true love
Revisado: 12-20-24
I could not stand how the king treated the ML after he came back to him. I get the whole dragon pride thing but it was just simply not how someone in love would behave, they have an abusive relationship that I did not enjoy. I would not recommend this book. I liked the characters but not the way the king behaved kinda spoiled their relationship.

Historia
For nineteen years, I have carved myself into a dutiful son, a courtier of unimpeachable wit, and a genuine delight at a tea party. Now that my success in society has planted me in the path of Mikhail Vasiliev, it's clear I'd have been better off keeping my head down. Prince Mikhail is the second son of a traitor. Third in line to the throne, he has a reputation for violence, debauchery, and being a thorn in the side of his cousin, King Dmitri. That is until the king decides to get him out of the way—by marrying him off. To me.

Didn’t make sense
Revisado: 12-19-24
The characters would gain ground in their relationship and then lose it and the betrayal didn’t make sense, the author gave no lead up to it and it didn’t seem to fit the characters personality at all. The trained assassin issue was never solved just speculated about. This book wrapped up quickly and could have benefited from better pacing. Overall it wasn’t bad but it isn’t worth the money I spent on it. It’s a romance between people who didn’t communicate with each other at all which lead to all of the drama. I liked the characters but the plot was not very satisfying

Okay, not as good as the others
Revisado: 11-07-24
I liked the beginning and end the most but there were missed opportunities for tension. The Main Characters were supposed to be falling in love but kept secrets for too long that caused an overly dramatic argument. The side characters were more interesting than the main ones. There was no justice for anyone in this book. Some situations seemed a bit unrealistic. Sex played a bigger role in this book than the others. I skipped through some of the book because it seemed a bit slow or uninteresting. The Sultana made a promise that she couldn’t keep which didn’t seem to fit her character.

Historia
When the Monster Relations Bureau tells me I've been identified as a kraken shifter's mate, my first instinct is to run. I learned the hard way what it means to be treated like someone's possession, and I'm not about to make the same mistake twice. Only, Elias is… different. Patient and careful with me, willing to wait as long as it takes for me to let him in. The more I learn to trust him, and the more he draws me under with the dark temptation of his touch, the more the defenses I've held onto for so long start to crumble.

Wasn’t bad but wasn’t that good either
Revisado: 10-22-24
In my opinion the story was too simple, the characters were kinda shallow, and I didn’t like the conflict. The beginning intro grabbed my attention but it went downhill the further the book went on, I had to force myself to finish it. I kinda wish I didn’t use a credit on this title. The characters were all likable but the book was too smutty and it got in the way of the romance. Also, I don’t like modern times used as the setting but that’s just a personal preference.

Just okay
Revisado: 10-09-24
I appreciate the book for being overall a happy read. I’m tired of reading depressing books, this author does a good job at keeping the book positive even when things are going bad. However, the author seemed a little inconsistent with the character traits in this book. I liked the beginning of the book and the concept a lot. The romance is done too quickly in my opinion, there’s hardly any development at all before they are committed to each other forever. I liked all the characters but there is one character that the author pushes us to like and “forgive” even though he wrote him as a cannibalistic murderer. I’m sorry but if someone tries to kill and eat another person I’m never going to let them around my defenseless children and mate, even if I think they may have turned over a new leaf. The main character behaves selfishly asking someone to put their family at risk and shaming him for not being more forgiving. Some “mistakes” have lasting consequences and you don’t always get a second chance just because you want one. I actually like that character but it doesn’t make sense for everyone to forgive him and trust him like they do. The intended bad guy of the book was interesting and I liked the development with him but I think there could’ve been even more. Overall the book wasn’t bad, just not as good as I think it could’ve been and not worth the full price of a credit. I would recommend getting this at a cheaper sales price.

Revisado: 10-07-24
I appreciate the interesting concept of the book and I really enjoyed the beginning a lot but it kinda goes downhill from there in my opinion. It’s lighthearted which I appreciate because so many books are depressing but it’s not very deep and none of the characters have much development. I was in a reading slump and this helped me want to read again. I like how every character feels distinct with their own special personality but there was an unlikeable character that kept popping up in the book and I’m not sure if the author wanted us to grudgingly like him or not. I did not, however I thought he was a better bad guy than the actual “bad guy” in the book. The conflict solution was astoundingly quick but not as quick as the romance in the book. They lusted for each other instantly and decided to stay together forever almost just as fast. This book would have benefited from a slower romantic build up that would have made their devotion to each other feel more genuine.

Positive book with happy ending
Revisado: 10-07-24
So many books are depressing so I really enjoyed it for being light hearted. I like all the characters but my favorite characters are barely in the book, I wish to hear more about them but oh well. I don’t usually enjoy modern settings and the narrator made one of the characters sound annoying but did well with all the other ones, most people wouldn’t care about those things though. It is an insta lust type romance and is a bit on the nose, I may have rolled my eyes while listening to a couple parts but even though the story is not deep it was enjoyable. I don’t feel like I wasted a credit but I probably wouldn’t say this was good enough to go on my bookshelf. I’ll keep it as an audiobook to listen to whenever I want a quick lighthearted story. I’ll try some more books from this author

Characters are annoying, wasted a credit
Revisado: 09-02-24
The female lead in Book 1 was rude and dismissive to the love interest to the point where I didn’t want him to end up with her, He was her second choice the whole time and she said repeatedly how she found him unattractive. The female lead in Book 2 keeps valuable and helpful information a secret from her family and friends for no reason, it didn’t seem realistic or make sense. It’s annoying to the point I don’t want to finish and I don’t find the twin sisters interesting enough to want to read book 3, which I assume is about them.
