I bought the 2nd audiobook right away after finishing this one. The story is getting more exciting, and I want the 3rd book right now.

The science in this story is quite exciting and refreshing. I want to know more, and I think I'd continue to book three right now.

The new narrator kinda caught me off guard

I was listening to the series back to back from book one until here and the sudden change wasn't good for me. Though I wasn't fond much of the original narrator as I thought sometimes he inject too much of emotion in to some lines but he did pretty well on giving each characters distinct voice. But the new narrator chose to use different voice and tone and accent, very confusing. Especially Minya, she supposed to be a very beautiful woman here she sounds like a crone... sad.

The story was OK but not satisfying, I think as a GameLit or LitRPG or as I think the story cultivation system got influence from Chinese Wuxia novels (I also read so many on that category) which they always brought the main character to the highest rank of cultivation at the end. In this story I guess the author did not want to go that far and choose to not have an all out power brawl, show case of powerful fighting moves so much but you can see some in here, that's why I think it's not satisfying...maybe out of familiarity I was hoping for that to happen.

It still an OK story, I had to switch from listening to read in Kindle around 60% though as I couldn't take Minya's voice anymore.

The story is kinda entertaining and I want to know what's going to happen to the group, BUT I stopped listening around chapter 5 because the group's plan and behavior are making no sense to me.

You spend a long time planning to come back and did not plan for the people here in his hometown to recognize him?
Man and you openly talking about your plan, your identity, and revealing so much in front of the 1st assassin that came to kill you... man, it's too much of a stretch here. Not to say just believe everything that the assassin says... I thought they are more careful than this in the 2nd book, suddenly they just go back to hey, let's improvise everything... The Count of Monte Cristo vibe has gone down the drain at that point.
