This book grew out of a series of letters to my daughter concerning various things - mostly about money and investing - she was not yet quite ready to hear. Since money is the single most powerful tool we have for navigating this complex world we've created, understanding it is critical.

Very helpful perspectives
Revisado: 10-17-24
I really enjoyed learning all the options to use your money and ways to keep and select where to put it towards efficiently. I definitely find the author a bit apathetic towards uneducated people on finances.

Historia
Intelligence is usually seen as the ability to think and learn, but in a rapidly changing world, there's another set of cognitive skills that might matter more: the ability to rethink and unlearn. In our daily lives, too many of us favor the comfort of conviction over the discomfort of doubt. We listen to opinions that make us feel good, instead of ideas that make us think hard. We see disagreement as a threat to our egos, rather than an opportunity to learn.

Great stories, great challenges to our beliefs
Revisado: 05-09-24
I really have learned to rethink. I am open to being wrong and I will be closer to being right. Learning is more important than the outcome and this book gives many non-conventional examples of that.

Absolutely beautiful way to find oneself and build on themself
Revisado: 08-12-23
Najwa Zambian beautifully describes the struggles of her life to find herself, learning to be her most authentic self, and also building a home for herself on herself. Her kindness and compassion toward the people she chooses to teach and help with her own experience is clear and truly unique. I am so grateful for her writing and the intimacy she shares through her work.

Pretty good way of putting it
Revisado: 02-23-23
I think this is a great book if you are in a tight spot which is the objective even from the title. The way he puts it is pretty raw at times and with glimpses of hope for a person that making it paycheck to paycheck.
I think one can take away the mentality and a couple strategies that may or may not seem a little obvious for someone that is ok at managing finances.
The book does have a tone of guilt-by-spending on debt which may be what some people need to hear at times if they don’t manage money well. I think this is a pretty good book based on the premise and I am satisfied.
