watch as Travis Baldree desperately tries to save this train wreck of self indulgent writing.
I listened to the entire freaking book.
you start off with a reasonably powerful MC, reincarnation is cool. I like these books. I am a fan of cultivation also.
The author piles on advantages. we arnt talking minor advantages. there are 3 MAJOR advantages worthy of there own MCs given to this guy.
spoilers:
advantages 1. reincarnated former grand master swordsman 2. forms cultivation core at 3 years old, average is thirteen. 3. is gifted a dragons soul. 4. "i forgot" he can manipulate all 4 core elements. only person ever ;) gosh hes soooo cool.
The MC is NOT SMART. The MC is protected by plot armor and has no challenges. NONE the first two books he just coasts right on bye. no one batts a freaking eye about a kid forming there core at 3yo. No one does a thing.

I swear the author touched himself the entire time he wrote this and probably writes under a pen name because the MCs name is an anagram of his.

Bullying is wrong, normally. but I hope this guy got beat up in highschool.

Solid litrpg,
no harem, no whining protagonist, no sociopathic MC, no OP mc,
Not exactly a 5star but a solid 4 star litrpg. The 5 star is just to display its easy to listen to and doesn't make you cringe or hate it and offset whatever 1 star reviews pop up.

after the 4 books were done. it was OK, almost lost me a few times. MC is neutral evil in DnD terms. Like really freaking evil, it's bad.
it's OK worth 1credit for 4 books.

A really solid litrpg, the first few chapters are rough. but within 30mins to an hour it smoothes out. well worth a credit, a solid lit rpg. The MC is driven and is refreshingly free of wierd quirks, a very balanced personality. he isnt a bleeding heart, a tyrant, or a hero complex. He is focused on getting stronger without being insane about it. Just driven. 4 star instead of 5 stars do to lack of causing strong emotional reaction from me.
But this is barely a criticism, this rating is on a standard novel scale. on the lit rpg scale its an easy 5 star.

Its unfortunate but happens at times, the first book was -okay- just okay the magic system was pretty cool.
This book is just one big cringe festival. The MC is so freaking nerotic I don't know how he functions. The author says there 17 but they act like 13 year olds.

I have seen this before, some authors get better on the second book. Some only have one decent book in them. this is the later.

I don't understand the negative reviews on this book, it wasn't amazing but its a solid 3 star book. The main character can be a bit difficult to relate to and his psychology profile is a little strange. Solid buy 25hrs for 1 credit.
