So much wrong with this book. The head of a Bratva is NOT a DON. Nursing moms are not give oxycodone for pain. Maybe do some research on women’s bodies after giving birth. Shame on this author for not caring enough about her work to do a little research. The female narrator was just whiney and hard to listen to. The male narrator was ok but not good enough to get a better score. I only listened long enough to be able to leave this crappy review. I won’t be reading any thing else by this “writer”.

Just not good

No 25 year old woman(virgin or not) thinks Twilight is her favorite movie. There are way hotter vamps on VD. We all know that. The FMC acts like a a 12 year old that needs a smack. I only listened long enough to leave the crappy review. It’s too bad because the premise sounds good. But I won’t continue the series.

Such a disappointment

This had so much potential to be great. It’s ruined by terrible writing and bad narration. It’s like the author didn’t even bother to do any research. Sarah Wildes wasn’t burned she was hung. Any moron can find that out in a google search that takes less than a minute. The narrator’s pronunciation is not good. An English accent wouldn’t be accurate for the late 1800’s early 1900’s in Salem, MA. But worse is the inability of the narrators to read with inflection to the story in any kind of good way. Although the male reader did a better job. I did finish but it was difficult. I feel dumber after listening to this book. Sad.

Will skip the rest of the series. MMC is a bit of a wuss. Male narrator might as well be reading the evening news for all the warmth he brought in. And how he pronounced some things were wrong. This was a free listen but was not worth my time.

Audio is so bad the story itself cannot redeem itself. Shame on any author who doesn’t care enough about their work to hire live people to read it.

Don’t bother

The FMC is too stupid to live. Lots and lots of OMG! And Yes, Yes, Yes! Sooooooo badly written. I usually like a good age gap. But don’t waste your time or money on this. Even the male narrator’s superior Irish accent can’t save it. But it is the reason I finished it. Time and money I can’t get back.

Lovely story but give the audio a pass. It takes away from the experience. Better to read it.

The male voice sounded like an old man narrating a really boring documentary. The female voice is equally bad. They should be forced to listen to themselves as penance. And all voice actors need to learn how to pronounce words that are written in another language. BEFORE they record themselves. The Irish language can be difficult. Especially for lazy voice actors. FYI - it makes you sound stupid when you get it wrong.

Not the best

Zara narrates every single one of her FMC’s as if they are petulant children. It’s the reason I didn’t like her role in Rina Kent’s God of War. I wanted to like this book. I have liked all of Sadie’s other Ruthless books. Not this one and I feel like it’s mostly because of Zara. I gave 2 stars for performance only out of respect for the other narrator.

FMC acts like a jealous child for most of the book. For no reason. What a stupid B!TCH. MMC gave no reason for suspicion. The worst book of the series by far. Only listened for continuity of overall storyline.

Terrible female narrator

I will not listen to another audiobook narrated by this woman. She has zero soul. Do yourself a favor and read this don’t listen. It’s awful. Can’t think of a worse narrator. Even virtual voice is better than her. Good story though.
