Historia
Compiled by intrepid journalist Neve Pride, this archive of recordings spans the months after dragons emerged on earth, chronicling the communities that sprang up amid the destruction, the scientists, military leaders, and experts searching for a defense, and those steadfastly seeking the missing. Neve and her young daughter Bex travel among the wreckage speaking to those left behind and surviving, against all odds. Neve records everything for history, and in the hopes of locating a clue as to where the dragons came from and how one might stop them.

Slow and focused on virtue signaling and not dragons.

Just Like World War Z! (The Movie Though :/)
Revisado: 03-30-25
This book has the same format as World War Z the book but sadly is closer in quality to the movie. Listing all of the flaws would make me feel guilty because authors have feelings too, but good this was not.
This book wants so badly to be World War Z that it almost feels like the author had a checklist of things from WWZ to include while writing. The biggest problem is that the plot isn't even half-baked; it never made it into the oven.
The narration was great and the style and format are fun. It was also free!
Give this one a pass unless you need something to read between credits

A worthwhile listen for fans of the genre
Revisado: 08-28-24
This one comes in between 3 and 4 stars but I'll round up since this is by a smaller author. I did receive a free copy in exchange for an honest review
I enjoyed this despite not being a huge fan of LitRPG in general. I find that you either have a silly reason for being in a game or you just have stats and such for no reason because I said so. However, Limitless Lands has a relatively compelling reason for the character to be stuck in a game world
I'd almost call this series heartwarming in terms of the tone if not for the graphic violence
I enjoy Jack Voraces' narration quite a bit, but Southern accents might not quite be his thing. His narration is what drew me to this series in the first place and I'm glad I decided to check it out
Give this series a go if you're a fan of Voraces or the genre

Not a ton of positive things to say about this one. Perhaps I would have enjoyed it as a child. The narration was acceptable, but not strong enough to carry the weak story by itself.
I love zombie stories and I'd probably avoid this one unless you're an absolute fanatic

Historia
When the Standing Ones sent us on a journey to explore the darkness far from the sun’s light, I never expected to find monsters there. Like something out of the scary tales my son so loved, they captured us while I slumbered. I woke with my crew, locked away in a cold thundercloud colored cage. The others looked to me for escape but all my plans had ended in failure and pain, so much pain. At the same time, the monsters began to take them away one by one. Pushing past those failures and the pain, I plotted my escape, I was born problem solver after all.

Not bad
Revisado: 02-10-20
I got this for free.
The narration is good, but the format doesn't allow the narrator to display any additional skill.
The prose is fine and fits the setting, but the plot is unfortunately transparent. Perhaps that is intentional, but the "twist" is obvious from the beginning. If it's not supposed to be a surprise, it really could have used something more.
Tackles big ideas about morality and what it means to be human. Not bad, but not great either
