Complicated But Ok
Revisado: 05-06-25
Need to map out their family tree to really know what's going on. Author doesn't do a very good job of making things clear. She includes many unnecessary things which bogs the book down. The story over all is good if you can wade through through it.

It's somewhat predictable, but in a good way! All characters get what they deserve good or bad which I love. Definitely keeps the plot going!

Good and HORRIBLE
Revisado: 04-25-25
This is not a book for those under 18 unless they have had Angels experiences. I can definitely see how this could be helpful to those who have been or are now in a situation of sexual, verbal or physical abuse. I am an empathic person so this book was hard for me to listen to and I did skip chapters but the book still made sense. Most of the book feels like thick black cloud a strom that never lets up. I know this book will help some people but it's very sad, inappropriately descriptive and though it gets a lot better towards the end. I can't say I'm glad I read it. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but I would have liked a review like mine to keep me from starting this book I finished because I hoped for great ending it was an ok ending. You can definitely pull many lessons from this book, but I didn't feel the need to go to such a dark place to get them. If your like me and usually read more even keel Christian books, many lessons are learned without the harsh clouded darkness this book has.

Love the Encouragement
Revisado: 02-27-25
I prefer to read books that encourage me in the Lord Toni S books so far has done a GREAT job of that. Unlike other "Christian" books that just drop some possible thing that may be related to God in 2 or 3 places in a book (which to me barley makes it a Christian book) she makes it a common thread throughout her books. I read the 2nd book in this series first on accident ( the one with Piper and Tuck) and LOVED that one this one took a while for me to like but hooked me eventually. I wish she would have come out and said that we can't truly be in Gods will without being a part of a physical church body. I definitely understand that God send people out as missionaries and on solo assignments but thats always from a church or to share the gospel in hopes of starting eventually starting church. The Bible has many verses on how important every part of the church body is and how we are all needed in our respective churches. Even though she doesn't come right and say that part of Gods will for every born again Christian is to be in Bible believing church she did strongly hint at it!

Nice short story. It was hard to follow sometimes as they were be at the church or bakery and then without a proper transition or changing chapters they would all of a sudden be at another place or doing something different. I don't know if that virtual voice issue or the author writing.

Pretty Good Story
Revisado: 01-07-25
Pros:Loved the main character she's a delight. Adored the stories of 3 famlies and how through the main characters' faithfulness she is able to bless them and they return the favor.
Cons:Definitely way to much love making detail. I completely understand that God is pleased with such things but they don't publicly need to be described in such detail! I also really didn't like that the N word was used several times. To many people bleed and died to stop the use of that word and all the negative history that goes with it. Even though I know us black people sometimes use it as a term of endearment amoung ourselves( Which I'm honestly don't like). Saying it publicly makes everyone think they can use it as well. If an author feels they must make mention of it in the story say the N word no need to write the actual word!
Overall: It's definitely worth reading/listening.

Great Story
Revisado: 12-12-24
I felt it started off VERY VERY slow. I stopped listening to it for a while because I found the beginning uninteresting but decided to continue as I loved the first book. It did not disappoint! This is a great book that looks at things from many points of view and reminds us that God gives grace to all. It's it also prods us to think of what others may be going through before reacting to any situation, as we all need grace!

Revisado: 07-09-24
The author tries to display an attraction, maybe even attempts love but OBSESSIVELY talks about the characters internal feeling and thought so much that its annoying and makes it hard to listen to the book. If it wasn't for the small amount of excitement and intresting resources some of the characters have I would not have been able to finish the book.

FANTASTIC
Revisado: 06-12-24
I love this book the person narrating/ reading the story did a good job of giving you a variety of voices but did seem to run out of different voices toward the end of the book. This book has love, action, and plenty of culture. Definitely a must read. I would LOVE a sequel. I would caution that after two of the characters get married romance is more descriptive. Nothing disgusting or vile, it was still clean just not for yonger audiences. If your a parent that monitors what their children reads and watch, I wouldn't let someone under under 18 read it without you going through it first.
