Sometimes funny, but Expeditionary Force can't be beat for Sci-fi humor, action, adventure, etc.

I thought you might attempt to bridge the gap between Christians and the theory/fact of aliens. Instead, you retell biblical stories in a way that guts the very Gospel of its message. Yes, it is a message of joy and adoption, but joy is certainly not the goal. It is the acceptance of God's forgiveness of our sins, and our free will to follow Him out of love and thankfulness that is the real good news. You ignore passages that are obvious and make up others. Your so-called Gospel brings Christianity down the level of others. What other God/Man/Spirit has ever sacrificed his own sinless life so that God might forgive him and adopt us all as children? After all the ways you denigrate Jesus and his story, your ultimate conclusion rings hollow.

Hybrids & the Gospel?

Incredibly interesting. Caused me to think more deeply about the concept of hybrids and the Gospel of Christianity. Would man's sin become attributed to hybrid children through the human parent? Would the alien parent remain free of the spiritual battle we humans fight between light and love and dark and hate or apathy? Most of the discussions were thought-provoking. Although I have never experienced such things as were discussed, I have a great empathy for the terror and panic (and sometimes pain) these individuals have endured, no matter what the reason. Listen and see what questions come to mind. CW

Wow! This was a Sci-fi book that I could really sink my teeth into as a Christian. I say that not because it is meant to evangelize, but because it introduces a different perspective on our lives, akin to the Matrix but with a different quality. The philosophical questions and doubt that Ezekiel experiences are powerful, and I suspect there are not many people in my background who would feel comfortable discussing such ideas. I loved it!

I absolutely loved this book! The hundreds of '80's references brought back so many memories. The plot intrigued me, especially as a Sci-fi fan and non-gamer. I laughed out loud often, and I abhorred having to do anything but listen to the story. Can't wait to listen to "Ready Player Two"! Cline did a masterful job of writing, and Wil Wheaton, as always, was a blast to listen to as Narrator.

A book titled, "Agent to the Stars" is not one I would typically read, because I'm really not into celebrity. I cannot think of a worse question than, "Do you KNOW who I AM?!" First, no, I don't care who you are. Second, I don't want to know anyone who would seriously ask that question.

However, since I'm on a John Scalzi binge right now, I dove into this story. After I got over its premise (Really? This is the story?), I was hesitant to continue because it seemed too, well, simplistic. I am sorry, Mr. Scalzi, for my momentary lack of faith. I really liked the previous 3-4 books I had listened to, which had contained far more serious plots, so I pushed on. Within minutes I was all in -- laughing and snickering at the scenarios and banter, visualizing the characters, and trying to figure out what was around the next corner. The only detail I will give is that the aliens speak to each other not through speech, but by onerous odors.

This book was just the kind of Sci-fi that I needed after the stress and distress of 2020, especially following the presidential election. Its plot is not all fun and games, but it was personally a relief to laugh and enjoy myself so much. I really enjoy Scalzi's sense of humor, and Wheaton's interpretation of it. In fact, Wheaton is my first favorite Sci-fi Narrator. I know, I know, I'm late to the party. If you need some Sci-fi Lite (and I'm talking more humor less horror, not -- without any depth) definitely check this one out!

This story, like the others, is well written by Scalzi with plenty of humor and suspense, as well as a new species of animals. Wheaton does a wonderful job of bringing the characters to life. They are now my contemporary favorites for Sci-fi Author and Narrator. Keep up the awesome work! Can't wait to catch up and see what's ahead.

I really enjoyed this story. It actually made me laugh out loud several times, and brought me to tears at at least one point. I just HATED the separate episodes. I only had a few episodes (2-3) that automatically went to the next episode. Once I got past Episode 11, every following episode returned to Episode 11 instead of continuing on to the next episode. I had to start the subsequent episodes manually. I would have stopped listening if I hadn't enjoyed the plot and characters so much. (Please note: foul language, sexuality, adult themes, etc.)

My favorite movie version of "Dracula" is Bram Stoker's. However, I have never read the book itself. It was so wonderfully written (and narrated), with such feeling and passion, that I am now certain the movie will pale in comparison (only due to the limits of film-making). I was captivated by the thoughts and nuances of the individual diaries, which could not all be contained within the constraints of a movie. I was content to surrender to the suspension of disbelief -- although I too believe in Evil -- and to envision such a time when love, strength, protection, faithfulness, courage, and piety were characteristics to hold in reverence and not in contempt as they are so often today. This is not simply a scary story, but one of Good vs. Evil. Read it during daylight if you must, but I encourage you to read or listen to it. It will be well worth your time.

I had not read this trilogy since junior high or high school. It is still an amazing tale of good and evil, and of selfishness and self-sacrifice. It presents many concepts that are probably not discussed in many contemporary circles today, but is so needed. A must-read from the 1940's -- still relevant!
