Historia
Life with Kane is wonderful, right up until it’s not. People like me, Shadow Walkers, are always waiting for the worst. When the worst does happen, I’m not prepared. Months of my life are wiped from my memory, strangers call me friend, and it looks like I’m conspiring with the enemy. I need a backup plan. Only problem is if I have one, I don’t remember it. I don’t remember anything, like who to trust and who to hate. Someone screwed with my life, and they’re going to pay. Do I trust Kane to help me when all I can remember is that I hate him?

Loved it!
Revisado: 08-29-18
Loved the series! This Author never disappoints. This book moved a little slower than the rest but had a lot more deeper emotional stuff going on.
The narrator is awesome. If you can, listen to it on audio.

After a really busy summer, things have settled down for my crew here in Ebenezer Falls. That is, until my favorite spy, Win, has a crazy recollection of the night he was murdered. His memory leads us to the new tattoo artist in town who just happens to be an ex-nun named Trixie Lavender. Sister Trixie has a gifted tattoo artist for a sidekick who just happens to be a demon straight from the bowels of Hell... A demon who, coincidentally, is accused of murder, that is. You know what that means - Stevie and the gang to the rescue!

Clever characters, a murder mystery, and a talking bat.

Twists and turns you don't see coming
Revisado: 10-10-14
What made the experience of listening to Forbidden Love the most enjoyable?
I loved that I could hear a great story while unpacking. This is an awesome way to multi-task.
What did you like best about this story?
I loved the story the best. The author puts twists in that you don't see coming.
Have you listened to any of Maria Hunter Welles’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I have listened to this narrator before and this wasn't my favorite performance by her. I thought her Scottish accent had a Russian or Romanian flare to it.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Alena and Ephraim's love story. It builds so it's real.
Any additional comments?
Alena bugged me at times with her jealousy but other than that I really liked the story. I loved all the action and twists. I recommend this story if you like vampires, suspense, and a love story that goes back centuries.

Revisado: 10-10-14
Where does Deidre's Secret rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I loved this story so it ranks right near the top.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Deidre's Secret?
When Deidre was underwater fighting for her life.
Which scene was your favorite?
Deidre decides to dress up as a girl scout and sell cookies to plant a listening device in the bank robber's house.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Deidre saved a teacher from choking and a kid from getting bullied no matter the cost.
Any additional comments?
This is a fast moving story that the stakes keep getting higher and higher. I was on the edge of my seat rooting for Deidre. The characters are lovable and very driven. I especially liked the aunt even though she didn't have that much of a part in this story. Great suspenseful storytelling.

A light assassin story
Revisado: 09-11-14
What did you love best about The Deadly Fae?
I loved her choice of weapons. I thought the idea was refreshing and unique.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Lady Sessily because she was smart and independent.
What about Jeanne Whitehouse’s performance did you like?
I really liked her voice and different character voices.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I really liked the ending and that everyone had to work together to accomplish the goal.
Any additional comments?
Lady Sessily just wants to retire from her life as a secret assassin. But the uber sexy Prince Creshion insists she complete one more assassination. The target is the evil Cobra Queen.
I really enjoyed this story.
What I liked most… I absolutely loved Sessily’s choice of weapons to kill. I thought they were unique and ladylike. I liked how she used her wit and stayed a lady throughout the story.
What I didn’t like? Nothing. This is a great story.

Mexia has already done much more than most school- trained mages when she and her companions had gone in search of the scepter of salvation. But now one of the apprentices of the evil wizard they had destroyed, has stolen his spell book and plans to take up where he had left off, and she has to try and stop him. Mexia believes the only way for her to defeat the mage is to become school trained like he was with the eventual goal of becoming a high wizard--the first of her kind in Inherian. But the current headmaster denies her entrance because she's a woman.

A great quest book
Revisado: 09-11-14
Would you consider the audio edition of The Magic of Inherian to be better than the print version?
Yes. I really liked the narrator.
What other book might you compare The Magic of Inherian to and why?
The Scepter of Salvation is the first book.
What about Elizabeth Phillips’s performance did you like?
I loved how she changed voices with the different characters.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
My favorite part was the fog in the swamp. The way it was described, I felt like I was there.
Any additional comments?
The trio is on another quest and this time it’s to enroll Mexia in a wizard academy. The only thing is girls are not allowed. They have to conquer a few quests before the head wizard will even consider it.
I really like quest stories and this one doesn’t disappoint. Mexia, Princess Talamya, Kersta, and the grouchy dwarf head out to conquer evil.
Mexia not only uses her magic but also uses other resources to accomplish her goal while possible love interests try to interfere. I’m not quite sure I liked Derek as the love interest. His tactics for keeping Mexia safe are motivated but controversial.
I recommend this story if you like quests lead by strong and smart women.

A story with a quest and a bonus romance
Revisado: 09-01-14
Where does The Magic of Inherian rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This story was entertaining and I didn't want it to end.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Princess Talamaya because of her kindness, wit, and courage.
Have you listened to any of Elizabeth Phillips’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I haven't yet but I plan on listening to the next in the series. I enjoyed her performance.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
A quest through a magical land.
Any additional comments?
Princess Talamaya goes on a quest to obtain the Scepter of Salvation to save her land. She must conquer many beasts and use her wit to retrieve it. She finds the barbarian king is also on this quest. He’s the king of her enemies. During the quest she finds not all she was lead to believe is true and she has to stay true to her heart to survive.
Okay, I wasn’t sure I would enjoy this when I downloaded it but I do love stories about quests so I took a chance. I loved this story. The beginning was kind of odd because it seemed to have a prologue or something that told a summary of the story. While listening to it I had no idea why the narrator was telling me this. It’s short so it was no big deal.
The characters were all likable and fun. The quest was entertaining and I found myself holding my breath while I waited to hear what would happen next. I loved this story so much I downloaded the second in the series as soon as I finished.
If you love sweet heroines on a quest that finds true love along the way then I recommend this story.

A sweet historical romance with mystery and suspen
Revisado: 09-01-14
If you could sum up Lady Caroline and the Egotistical Earl in three words, what would they be?
Romance, mystery, and suspense
What did you like best about this story?
I loved the characters. Lady Caroline was caring, stubborn, and spunky. The Earl John Talbot was sexy and smart.
What does Maria Hunter Welles bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Maria Hunter performed awesome. I loved her different voices for each of the characters. Her voice is pleasant to listen to.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
I have no idea. Please read my review below
Any additional comments?
Lady Caroline is investigating the crimes against her mother’s lands. But a pesky Earl is trying to keep her from doing so by requesting her presence at every chance he could. Was he involved in these crimes or did he have other things on his mind. Without a father, Caroline also keeps her family’s books and tends to other tasks needed. She didn’t have time to waste on a man who changes women every time the wind changes direction.
Earl Lord John Talbot is intrigued by Lady Caroline and he can’t seem to spend enough time with her. She is unlike any other Lady he’d met. But her insistence on catching the men involved in livestock slaughters on her land made him worry for her safety.
I don’t normally read historical romance but I loved this story. Not only is there romance but also a mystery.
Lady Caroline was entertaining and Lord Talbot was totally hot. The story and mystery kept me guessing.
If you like historical and sweet romance with suspense and mystery then you will enjoy this story.
