What the heck happened!!??? Where is the ending!!??? You surely don't think THAT was an acceptable ENDING!!??? COME ON! I would give this one 5 stars plus for sure, despite the mixing problems that made the dialog hard to hear in the beginning, but then it reaches the surprise that no one, including me, saw coming, the big cliff hanger climax--- and BOOM, credit role! No way! I'm actually mad! 😡Wow! I just spent several hours listening to a great story with no ending and no info as to whether that's it or there's a sequel or what! It's like what directors have started doing with movies, where they don't give them a real ending, just leave you hanging with your assumptions!😡

Loved the story, the characters, and the NARRATORS!!! WOW! 😍They honestly really made this story stand out for me! Totally brought it to life!🩷 The deep, resonant, rumbly baritone of the male narrator was just, mmmmm, delicious!❤️The female narrator surprised me with the portrayal of the MMC'S voice, wow! She was great all the way around, but I don't think I've ever heard a female narrator capture a male characters voice like that! She made his parts sound so sexy, dang!!!❤️ She really really really did a good job, she totally brought the scenes to life just with the voices! I could see, in my head, the looks on their faces, especially his, when they talked and bantered! Usually I need the male narrators voice to create a vision of the MMC, but she did it all by herself! Kudos to both narrators, I will be looking for more audio books that they have narrated! I really liked this book, even though there was no real plot beyond the romance- it was so well written and the characters were so likeable, it worked for me with just the romance. The only thing I would question is if there was a typo about the height of the wolf form of the MMC- 16 FEET?!! That seems extreme! No way she could get on his back, lol! I'm thinking maybe that should have been 16 hands, like horses- still huge, but doable- just a suggestion! I was a little surprised at the abrupt ending- I know the epilogue tied up the loose ends, but that's not really what an epilogue is for- it's to give a look down the road a bit, after the story arc ends. To have the story arc end so abruptly with the climactic fight scene, then no resolution... it was a little weird. I'm glad the epilogue handled the end of the story arc, but it was still weird! Anyway, it was a great story and I hope there is a next one!😍

WOW!!!! What a FANTASTIC story!!! Gripping!!! Riveting!!! I could not stop listening!! The narration was top notch, too!! I will be seeking more titles by this author, I hope they're all this good!!😍😍😍😍

I'm really torn on this review- on the one hand, it's an interesting and unique story line, and the actual writing is really good. The characters are interesting, or could be! But the story really fell short in fleshing out the characters, as it just focused on how the FMC felt, and her internal struggle just got old after the first half dozen times🙄 I'm getting tired of authors that just repeat the same internal dialog over and over, ad nauseum! We got it after the first time, for sure the second!🙄 Also, my biggest complaint about this is probably petty, but it grated on my nerves like sandpaper after awhile having to hear the words Arch Nephilim EVERY SINGLE SENTENCE!!! O.M.G!!! I swear, by the halfway point,I just wanted it to be OVER so I didn't have to hear those words again! And again, and again, and again!!! Aghhh!!! The author made a HUGE mistake not giving that character a name, or even a nickname! It was sooo irritating that I didn't even want to finish and couldn't concentrate on the plot! At the end of the audio book they played an excerp from the next one and she was back to her whiney internal dialog again, same old same old! I will NOT be continuing this series, sorry! The narration was good though, I really like the dual narration. My only complaint there was them mispronouncing Arch Nehilim,ironically 😂😂😂

The synopsis for this was Soooo misleading! SPOILER ALERT!!!! It says the fmc gets cheated on and leaves her cheating husband for 4 bear shifters...NOT!!! The rude, nasty, hateful, egotistical, narcissistic husband tells her in the first chapter he wants an open marriage because he's not attracted to her any more... and the spineless door mat fmc AGREES to it and spends the WHOLE BOOK until the last 2 chapters letting him screw around with another woman, publicly flirt with that woman WITH the fmc right there at his family's Christmas party, boss her around, degrade her, publicly shame her, ruin her reputation, talk behind her back, drain her bank account, max out her credit cards, then shoot her new bear boyfriend! SOMEONE needs to change the synopsis, because if I'd had a clue about ANY of this, I would have NEVER NEVER NEVER spent money on this book! Boy am I MAD! If this had been free, I would have quit less than 10 chapters in because it was so infuriating! I read for entertainment- I don't find an abusive husband that keeps screwing over his wife and getting away with it entertaining! Or romantic! And her "bear romance", yeah, that's a joke too! This is not a slow burn, it's a no burn, except for one scene, a few chapters from the very end! Ugh! And THAT was totally cringe worthy, so it's probably good it was the only scene, in retrospect! Oh!! And after ALL that, IT'S A CLIFFHANGER!!!!! 😡 If I could give this zero stars, believe me, I WOULD! I would NOT recommended this, and further more, will make sure to avoid this author in the future!

This is not THE Stephen King

I thought, like everyone else here, that this was by THE Stephen King, the one we all know and love- NOPE!😂 This is Stephen R King- so it makes a lot more sense now! The AI narration was ok- not great, but ok- but the book was not edited correctly for spelling, because the AI made that VERY obvious! Also, a couple of the stories just ended- like, before the ending, lol! There was just no real ending! There were also other glaringly obvious content mistakes by this author the the REAL Stephen King would have NEVER made- that's what made me Google it! That, and the stories all seemed really far from Kings writing style, not to mention the hurried conclusions that rushed or skipped the climactic endings, which pretty much negated the whole purpose of the story! I probably won't be listening to anything else by this Mr. King, lol! I'm glad this one was free, I guess that should have been my tip off!😂😂😂

Narrator made the whole story for me!

I really want to say I liked this story- but I'm just not even sure what happened! The ending felt like the author just got tired of writing it and quit! It also didn't feel very fleshed out with much detail throughout- just kind of the bare minimum. Made what could have been a really good story feel more like she phoned it in for a money grab!. There were sooo many unanswered questions, the most important of which is HOW the MMC came back to life and WHY the curse was lifted! It was incredibly disappointing that none of that was explained or resolved! I thought for sure it would be because he sacrificed himself for another, but given that we don't even know WHY he was cursed in the first place, who knows! Also the Sophie/ Josephine thing was just jejune and irritating- like the author couldn't decide between them, so used them both. And then it's made a big deal that Sophie/Josephine is turned into whatever the Mmc happens to be, which we still don't know, but no description! ugh! This felt like a spin on the Opal Reyne monster books, but with a much more attractive monster. The best part was the narrator! wow!!! He was REALLY good! He brought all the characters to life, everyone had a different voice, and they were all believable! I was so surprised how well he did with the FMC during the emotional scenes! And the sexy scenes! He was a big hit for me, I will search for more novels with him for a narrator!

Good, but not as fun as the first one

I gotta say I was kinda disappointed with this- the first one was sooo funny, sweet, and engaging, I was really hoping this would be too, but it wasn't. The insta- love in this was not believable for me- maybe insta- lust/desire/attraction, but the deep love they were trying to sell here was not possible in a week, sorry. The dog was great, best part of the book- I laughed every time they said her name, Weiner the Pooh!😂😂😂 But the whole middle of the book was just sad- and the hash tag nonsense really ruined it for me-I read to ESCAPE reality- I hate how horrible people are these days on social media, and to have to be inundated with such intense negativity in a romance!!??? No! Not into it! I was looking forward to the rest of the series but it's gonna have to go back to being like book one, or I'm out!

Sweet and hilarious!

This was a ball! When I'm just dying laughing from the very first scene, it's definitely a winner! I loved that this "insta- love" romance was really many many years in the making- it was so cool that they were best friends since childhood and he was secretly in love with her all that time- he was just the best hero, I loved him! And she was awesome too! And the rooster, OMG, don't get me started about Luke Skycocker!😂😂😂 This was funny, sweet, and totally engaging! I hope the rest of the series is like this one!!!😍😍😍😍😍😍

I had high hopes for this, it started out pretty good, but quickly devolved into a ridiculous heroine that was self absorbed, childish, and irritating! All she did the whole book was tell him Come here/ Go away! Oh, and eat pizza and drink copious quantities of vodka til she was puking, ugh, so gross! What I thought would be a unique plot and maybe have an interesting mystery attached to it, turned into a chaotic mess- just made him kill half the alpha wolves in America, LITERALLY, and gave her fuel for her gigantic pity party that she drank herself stupid over in practically every other scene! I'm SHOCKED that this got such glowing reviews, I was so disgusted by her I had to quit listening, ugh! When she started publicly making out with other guys right in front of him, just to hurt him, for no other reason than that he loved her and wanted her to be his mate and rule with him-- ugh ugh ugh! What a bi#ch! Oh, no, boo hoo hoo, she didn't want that responsibility because she HATED alphas and didn't want to BE one- like she couldn't just be a decent person no matter her position- but I guess she knew what a self centered narcissistic she was, so kudos to her for saving everyone from herself! I don't even care how it ends- if he's smart, he will RUN, not walk away from that train wreck!😂😂😂
