Historia
Ahren's enormous undertaking to unite the thirteen Paladins has, following years of dangerous journeying, come to a successful conclusion. Now there is only one task left for him to complete. He must lead the Champions of the gods, his other friends, and the free peoples of Jorath in an assault on the Obsidian Fortress. Yet the Adversary is intent on foiling his archenemies' plan before they reach his hordes lurking behind the compound walls. The Dark god's scheme is to spring the trap that was set centuries earlier in preparation for just such an event.

A masterpiece!
Revisado: 02-19-25
I have never been hit with such an emotional impact by a book series like The 13th Paladin, and The Adversary delivered a conclusion that exceeded all my expectations. Every moment in this final installment was packed with depth, heart, and intensity, making it impossible to put down. The ending was remarkable—every thread was tied together beautifully, and the resolution was both satisfying and deeply moving.
Gildart Jackson’s narration was nothing short of phenomenal. While he has always brought this series to life with his incredible range and ability to convey emotion, this was, without a doubt, his best performance yet. His voice work elevated the experience, making each moment even more powerful.
If you’ve followed the journey this far, The Adversary is everything you could hope for in a finale. This series will stay with me for a long time, and I cannot recommend it enough.

Historia
Ahren and his companions journey on to Evergreen, finding new courage after the traumas of the Green Sea. Setting off, then, to traverse the continent in search of the missing Paladin Yollock, it isn't long before they find themselves sucked into a maelstrom of adventures involving a woman who has been robbed, a desperate Cape Verstaad grandee, not to mention a cutthroat city which proves itself a veritable nest of ne'er-do-wells. Controlled by the brilliant assassin Reik Silvermantle, this hub of lawlessness and immorality presents Ahren and his friends with one of their greatest challenges.

Narrator was changed, not for the better.
Revisado: 01-08-25
I’ve been eagerly following this series, but unfortunately, The City of Cutthroats didn’t live up to the high standard set by the previous books. The story itself remains engaging and full of intrigue, but the narration by Stewart Crank fell short for me. Having grown accustomed to Gildart Jackson's masterful ability to give each character a distinct voice and infuse the narration with emotional depth, Crank's performance felt lackluster by comparison.
Many of the characters lacked unique vocalizations, causing their dialogues to blur together, particularly during longer exchanges. This, combined with the subdued emotional delivery, made it difficult to stay fully engaged. I found my mind wandering more often than I’d like, which is rare for such an action-packed series.
That said, I’m excited to see Gildart Jackson return as the narrator for the next two installments. His performances breathe life into this world and its characters in a way that truly enhances the story. I’ll definitely continue with the series but hope the future books restore the magic I’ve come to expect.

Historia
Ahren can hardly believe his luck. His apprenticeship finally comes to an end, and Khara's interest in him is growing by the minute. He and his companions leave the Southern Jungles and sail westward, this time in search of two Paladins, who are apparently living a peaceful existence on one of the Isles of the Cutlass Sea. Yet their quest proves full of difficulties, for a war among the pirates has transformed the Cutlass Sea into a bubbling cauldron, hiding its own tragic drama.

Great story, recording issues
Revisado: 11-05-24
The story continues and it's just as good as the books before. However, at the end of chapter 12 and the beginning to middle of chapter 13, there are a ton of recording issues that were either missed or carelessly left in which ultimately ruined the storytelling for the rest of the chapter. I've also heard names mispronounced a couple of times. Ahren was called Alan at one point. I hope the rest of the book is better.

Historia
The world watches the sky with trepidation. The insanity of Xenocide knew no bounds, and all will soon suffer the effects he had planned for a millennium. Though none know what is to come, they all know it isn't going to be easy to survive. The Master has a plan, one that can give the world at large a way to escape the onrushing desolation. It may be on the bleeding edge of morality and what he needs might prove too difficult to secure, but the Master asks for trust. Cal and Dale both have their role to play as the world hurtles toward destruction.

Narrator changed.. I just can't..
Revisado: 12-22-23
If there's a crime that's being committed it is changing the narrator on the last book of a series. I lost the love of the characters I had and no matter how hard I tried, I can't connect with this new style. Imagine watching a movie and in the last 40 minutes the entire cast was changed to an all male high school drama club. All the females in the story now sound like men, and it's infuriating because such great work was done defining the characters with the previous narrator. I'll be looking for a refund, and always checking every series from now on for a narrator change and if so avoiding it altogether.

Historia
For eons, conquering dungeons has been the most efficient way to become a strong adventurer. Although not everything is as straightforward as it seems. Several questions have always plagued the minds of those who enter these mythical places of power: why are there so many monsters? Where do the amazing weaponry and heavy gold coins come from? Why does the very air fill with life-giving energies? Cal has all of the answers to these age-old questions, for a very simple reason. He is a Dungeon Heart.

Best audio drama I've heard
Revisado: 11-18-23
Simply amazing. I couldn't stop listening. I've never been a big fan of vampire stories, but this one is different. The story is told perfectly and the performances by every actor, flawless. I've always thought nothing will beat the great Alien audio dramas, but this did. I want the story to continue!

One listen is enough
Revisado: 10-24-23
The story was meh. It was very predictable from the very beginning. The voice acting was average and a wider range of voices was needed. You can tell that the author doesn't have experience or knowledge writing books about evil organizations or such because it clearly shows when the guild made so many clearly defined mistakes.

The story started out slow, almost a crawl and I was about to give it up, but I'm glad I didn't. Once the story got going, man did it go. I couldn't stop listening. Vampires on a submarine is a scary thought and it was truly well done.

The city of the gods. Elantris once stood as the symbol of all that is beautiful. A sprawling metropolis of unrivaled grandeur, it was a symbol of power and strength, built to be as imposing as it was magnificent. The only thing more glorious than the city itself was its inhabitants, Godlike beings, with silvery skin and hair of the purest flowing white. Able to create powerful magics with a mere wave of their hands, the Elantrians were able to heal mortal wounds and create any object they desired. But Elantris fell...10 years ago.
