The narrator is awful. It really takes away from the story, it's a robot so no emotion, hardly any grammar. It drove me insane. The story is sweet but it left me wanting more, the story was just too surface for me. It was an entertaining read but not the best. I wanted more substance

BORING!!!

if I could have given this story less than one star I would have. there’s absolutely no character development, no excitement, no real storyline to follow and the most corny plot I've ever experienced. Yawn yawn yawn. I got about halfway through and just couldn't finish. My eye rolls were happening so often I had a head ache. A lot of the reviews were talking about too much hardship and too much sex.... Halfway through and literally NOTHING had happened... Not sure what book they read but.... Thankful I was able to return it and get my credit back because WOOF.

Finally a story with depth, excitement, unpredictability, and romance that isn't just about sex. The characters and world are well developed. I couldn't stop listening! Can't wait for the next book!

Nora Roberts is a great author, and I have enjoyed many off her books, this one though.... Uhg so tedious. Nothing ever happened, it moved so so slow and it was entirely predictable. The romance is lacking in literally EVERYTHING. There's no building of a relationship it's just suddenly there. I almost gave up and didn't finish because it was so boring. But I forced myself to finish. What a zzzz fest. What a disappointment. Boooo!

First of all, the reviews said romantic.... While there is an element of romance threaded through there isn't much as far as a building of the relationship. It's like a Disney movie, they met and fell in love they lived happily ever after the end.
The story was boring, moved way too slow and was completely predictable.
The story had a lot of potential and while the basis of the story is sweet there was nothing to keep me listening other than the fact that I used a credit and therefore needed to just push through....

I read a lot of reviews before choosing the title. And a lot of people said that every other page was sex. That is absolutely not true, and the story was intriguing. I’m definitely looking forward to reading the next one because it definitely leaves you hanging. A mature book for sure, the narrator is good although I hate her voice for Niphane it was mostly enjoyable.

So boring

Omg this book was rough! I could only get about a quarter of the way, the narrator sounded like Jennifer Coolage was reading the freakin book. It was tiresome and annoying to listen to and nothing happened in several chapters.
There was no connection to the characters it was just awful

Talk about absolutely predictable and so so boring! My gosh I was only about three hours away from finishing the book and I just couldn’t take it anymore. What a horrible romance it’s the same old story, they never trust each other or believe each other and just believe everything everyone else says. So boring I hope I can return it... If I could give the overall and the story less than one store I would

Nora Robert’s does it again! This book had everything I wanted, action, heroism and that broody man that you love to hate to love. The narrator was awesome, his voice helps weave the story. Overall, great book
