Historia
Waking the Tiger offers a new and hopeful vision of trauma. It views the human animal as a unique being, endowed with an instinctual capacity. It asks and answers an intriguing question: Why are animals in the wild, though threatened routinely, rarely traumatized? By understanding the dynamics that make wild animals virtually immune to traumatic symptoms, the mystery of human trauma is revealed.

Historia
Why do things happen the way they do in our lives? How do we create the causes for a happy life? The Buddhist practice of mind training gives us the answer to these questions: it involves overcoming our self-centered attitude and replacing it with an attitude that cherishes others. This, in turn, leads us to act in ways that naturally lead away from suffering and toward happiness—in short, to create good karma.

This was overall an excellent Dharma book, however, I didn't like the performance of the narrator so much, in how seemingly very non-chalantly conveyed extremely esoteric and pithy Buddhist concepts and teachings it wasn't terrible, but it could have been better in my opinion. Other than that, this audiobook was excellent and I hope I can re-listen to it many times over. Anyone sincerely interested in Buddhadharma and Buddhist concepts and teachings should add this one to their library, this book is most excellent. Thank you Audible. Thank you 🙏🏻🇺🇲.

Osho describes love as transformation. It is painful because it transforms and transformation is going to be painful because the old has to be left for the new. While the old is familiar, secure, safe, the new is absolutely unknown. With love we will be moving in an uncharted ocean.

Friendship, like love is a lie:

This is interesting and worthwhile, it offers universally related stories and summarizations to help anyone attempt to better understand the 23 Psalm of the Holy Bible. I am thankful for being able to have listened to it and want to re listen to it one more time. The one line that stuck with me the most was "to love another is to accept and choose to be vulnerable". Thank you Mr.Kushner. Thank you Audible.

Top notch narration and a sincere desire to help others instead of just selling something. Thank you.

What was particularly helpful about this audiobook was the advice on how to organize one's meditations into different types of meditations for different days of the week as a means of keeping meditation something exciting and desirous while attempting to firmly maintain it's practice as a very consistent habit. Thank you very much for this audiobook, can I please have more?

Lama Yeshe tells us that mahamudra is “the universal reality of emptiness, of nonduality” and its unique characteristic is its emphasis on meditation: “With mahamudra meditation there is no doctrine, no theology, no philosophy, no God, no Buddha. Mahamudra is only experience.” As always, Lama Yeshe’s words are direct, funny, and incredibly encouraging. He gets us to go beyond ego’s addiction to a limited sense of self and to taste the lightness and expansiveness of our own true nature.

Does an angel named Phanuel really exist? If so, is he the one who wrestled with Jacob, God’s chosen leader of the Israelites? What is his special role in repentance in today’s world? Was he the Angel of Peace at Fatima? The author starts out on a venture by examining ancient texts to build a case for a little known and very mysterious angel. His search led to some unexpected surprises. He now believes the angel ‘s name is directly linked to special devotions to the face of Jesus that are growing in popularity among Christians today. One of the devotions is directly connected to the ...

My experience of existence and being is grateful and feels blessed by Christ Jesus of Nazareth the Sovereign Lord and King of Kings, my Savior to have been able to listen to this audiobook. What stuck with my experience of existence most about this audiobook made available via Audible was that Phanuel is that he is considered to be one of the Elohim whom is also one of the "four living creatures" in the Presence of Almighty God as described in the Book Of Revelation....and....... Phanuel is considered to be the Holy Elohim whom somehow evokes the image or appearance rather of God/Jehovah/Christ Jesus of Nazareth as his physical and spiritual appearance somehow in his face. Thank you 🙏🏻.

The book will challenge you to know about what Jesus suffered and offered up for us than ever before. It will make Lent more alive and relevant by examining His many wounds-more than we ever think and feel about. “By His Wounds We Are Healed”!The author clearly connects the prophecies about the Passion and Crucifixion with the evidence of fulfillment from three famous relics: the Shroud of Turin, Sudarium of Oviedo and the Veil of Veronica legend. A famous Catholic mystic identifies, for the first time, the name of the real person who wiped Jesus’ face on his Way to the Cross. Two ...
