Historia
DCI Harry Grimm is weary of humanity’s evil. Dragged to the middle of nowhere during the darkest of hours, he’s enraged by grisly evidence of a horrific illegal dog fight. And when the mutilated remains turn out to be a gamekeeper’s stolen pet, the gritty detective senses he has a solid lead after learning of a long-running feud. Immediately putting his team on the case, Grimm worries the stakes may be escalating when the animal’s owner is beaten and left for dead.

I adore Harry and the team!
Revisado: 12-11-24
I love the Grimm series, for the good stories, the unforgettable and loveable characters, and the glorious descriptions of the Dales. I also really, really like that these mysteries do NOT focus on the gory details of the crimes, even tho these crimes can be ghastly (I’m an animal lover and this could have been a really upsetting read if written differently). I love that the stories focus instead on the wonderful characters that inhabit Harry’s world. And I am SO glad that Harry has finally gotten a dog! I look forward to watching Smudge grow up … as a long time owner of Labs and Lab mixes, this should be great!! And romance! I kept waiting for something, thinking something might develop between Harry and Rebecca (a sort of love/hate thing) but when Grace entered the picture I figured she’d be another great candidate…looking forward to seeing where this goes. I am all ready to settle down with my next Harry Grimm book, glad I still have a bunch to look forward to!

Historia
After the teenage daughter of a prominent Minnesota politician goes missing, a huge manhunt is launched to find her. But when Cork O’Connor’s grandson Waaboo stumbles across the shallow grave of a young Ojibwe woman while hunting blueberries, nobody seems to care. Nobody, that is, except Cork and the newly formed Iron Lake Ojibwe Tribal Police Department. As Cork and the tribal officers dig into the circumstances of her murder, they discover a link to the missing girl that suggests these are not isolated incidents, but evidence of something much more sinister.

Wonderful writing, wonderful characters.
Revisado: 09-26-24
i’ve read all the books in the Cork O’Connor series, and I hope that Mr. Krueger continues writing them… I look forward to hearing the continuing adventures of the O’Connor family and their entire circle, including the inimitable, everlasting Henry. It is such a pleasure, after reading so many books whose writing is mediocre at best and whose storylines are thin, to experience the solidity of a beautifully written, well crafted story. Hope you write many more!

Arthur Parnassus lives a good life built on the ashes of a bad one. He’s the headmaster of a strange orphanage on a distant and peculiar island, and he hopes to soon be the adoptive father to the six dangerous and magical children who live there. Revisado: 09-15-24
Ever since reading, and adoring, “The House in the Cerulean Sea”, I’ve been waiting for this one, and it has not disappointed. I laughed, I cried, I fell in love, all over again, with these magnificent, delightful, funny, wise (Sal!!! Oh, Sal!), children and adults, magical and ordinary. Thank you, TJ Klune, for taking me outside myself to this magical island for a few days. Wish I were there!

Historia
Crispin Tredarloe never meant to become a warlock. Freed from his treacherous master, he's learning how to use his magical powers the right way. But it's brutally hard work. Not everyone believes he's a reformed character, and the strain is putting unbearable pressure on his secret relationship with waste-man Ned Hall. Ned's sick of magic. Sick of the trouble it brings, sick of its dangerous grip on Crispin and the miserable look it puts in his eyes, and sick of being afraid that a gentleman magician won't want a street paper-seller forever....

When a man's body is discovered crammed into the boot of an abandoned car in a remote location, DI Tom Janssen and his team must unpick his life to find out how he came to be there. The victim was a local man, popular with some although hated by others, and he had a habit of making enemies, enemies that any sane man would seek to avoid. For once, the team do not struggle to find a suspect or a motive for his murder, but with several to choose from, how can they determine who delivered the killing blows?

Revisado: 09-24-23
I’ve been waiting for this book since reading the previous 3, and it was indeed worth the wait! I really really hope there will be a book 5 (and that I’ll be alive and compos mentis enough to read it). I love all the characters and care about what happens to them, I love the laughter (and the tears) that it brings to me, and even though murder and mayhem abound, it lifts my spirits and gives me renewed hope for the human race. And it’s just such unmitigated fun!!! Thank you, Richard Osmond, for brightening my life!
